MLB Best Bets
Chicago Cubs (-105) at Milwaukee Brewers (-115) | O/U 8 (+100/-120)
After dropping the first game, it's been all Cubs, as they won the last two. They need this take this series against divisional opponents, and they have done so recently with two sweeps of the Pirates. Are we going to see the Marcus Stroman that has allowed eight earned in his last two starts or the one who went six scoreless against the Brewers in his first start of the year?
It's not a good time for Milwaukee to drop games against under .500 teams. They looked great coming into this series, winning six of eight, but the bullpen has given up runs late and lost the last two games. We are now into Week 6 without a win for Freddy Peralta. In those seven starts, he has multiple walks in five and allowed nine home runs.
Stroman may not need to be great with Peralta's struggles and overall pitching from the Brew Crew.
Pick: Cubs Moneyline (-105)

WNBA Best Bets
Seattle Storm vs. Connecticut Sun
The Connecticut Sun defeated the Seattle Storm on the road, 85-79, earlier this season. Now they'll be home, but that first game wasn't as easy of a victory as it should have been. Jewell Loyd added 33 points against Connecticut to will the Storm. But she didn't get much help from her teammates, and the Storm eventually lost.
That's been a common theme this year.
The Storm held Connecticut to 27.8% from downtown and got to the foul line eight more times. Don't expect the Storm to see the foul line nearly 30 times tonight.
Seattle still has a hard time scoring. The Storm added only 66 points against the Liberty in their most recent game and have averaged under 80 points per game. They've also shot under 40% from the field and allowed teams to score 86 points.
The Storm have played better on the road this year. They've gone 2-9 at home but are 2-3 on the road. But they've also had way more games at home to begin the year, so it's a weird stat to look at right now. We'll see how everything settles when Seattle plays many road games next.
On the other hand, the Sun just lost their last two games to the Aces and Liberty. Those losses were expected, but Connecticut got five more days of rest to prepare for this one.
One of these teams will end their small little losing streak.
But I'll take the Under. I don't think the Storm have what it takes to get to 80 points tonight on the road against a well-rested Sun squad.
Bet: Under 164.5 (-110)

NBA Summer League Best Bets
Thunder vs. 76ers
The Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers are each 1-1 in the Summer League. Last night, the Thunder struggled against the Grizzlies, scoring only 86 points in a 94-86 loss. Oklahoma City has a fantastic starting five but got just seven points from the bench in that game. Meanwhile, the 76ers earned their first win of the Summer League against the Jazz. The 76ers got 19 from Javonte Smart, who started his first game of Summer League for the 76ers. Philadelphia has way more depth on the bench and willingly gives higher minutes to more players. That's going to help on the defensive end more than anything.
Pick: 76ers +4 (-110)
