Detroit Pistons @ Indiana Pacers

The Pistons (8-46) travel to meet the Pacers (31-26) in Indianapolis, which did a tremendous job with the All-Star festivities over the weekend.

Detroit had been playing pretty competitive basketball, going 6-1 ATS in seven games from Jan. 28-Feb. 10, and 12-2 ATS in the prior 14 games before going 0-2 SU/ATS in the past two contests. The Pistons were underdogs by 11.5 or more points in those two games.

The Pacers have alternated wins and losses in each of the past five games, while going just 1-4 ATS during the span. As a double-digit favorite, Indiana is just 2-2 ATS this season. However, the Pacers are 2-0 SU/ATS in two meetings with the Pistons so far this season, averaging 133.5 PPG, while allowing just 118.0 PPG. Look for another Pacers win and cover.

Bet: Pacers -11.5 (-110)

Colorado Avalanche @ Detroit Red Wings

One of the best bets to wager on Thursday’s crowded slate is investing in over 6.5 total goals between Colorado and Detroit. Both of these offenses are capable of scoring in bunches, with the Avs ranking first (3.68) and Red Wings at fifth (3.49) for most goals scored per game on average this season. Even better, we’re getting mediocre goaltending play in this matchup.

Alex Lyon is already confirmed as the starter and he hasn’t been sharp for Detroit lately, allowing three-plus goals in five consecutive starts. Alexandar Georgiev, who is expected to be in the crease for Colorado, is coming off of a solid showing against Vancouver, allowing one goal on 25 shots faced. However, he’s still susceptible to bad goaltending. We saw Georgiev surrender three to four goals in four consecutive starts prior to his improved performance against a winded Vancouver team playing the second leg of a back-to-back.

Each of Detroit’s last six games against Central Division teams has exceeded the total goals line. We have a lot of goal-scoring talent on the ice, facing streaky goaltenders who have been colder lately. Let’s invest a unit on over 6.5 total goals to be scored in this game.

Bet: Over 6.5 Total Goals (-134)

Crystal Palace vs. Burnley

It’s far from the marquee match on Saturday morning, but there’s still an opportunity to cash a ticket in this bottom-of-the-table clash between Crystal Palace and Burnley. The Eagles are 15th in the table at 6-7-12 (25 points), while the Clarets come in at 19th, owning a record of 3-4-18 (13 points). This contest is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. ET from Selhurst Park in London, England.

It’s not often that you get a chance to fade Burnley at +100 odds. Even though Crystal Palace is far from elite, this feels like a great value spot to back them to collect three points. They already have a head-to-head victory against Burnley, beating them in a 2-0 road contest back on Nov. 4.

Ultimately, this is simply a fade of the Clarets. They’re currently priced at -650 to be relegated, which is the second-shortest price behind only Sheffield United (-1400). Statistically, they’re 19th in both goals scored (25) and goals allowed (55), once again, only sitting above the Blades. Burnley has been in rough form, going 0-2-4 over their last six matches. They’ve posted a goal differential of -12 (7:19) during the six-match sample size. I think the Eagles are more than capable of taking care of business here.

Bet: Crystal Palace Moneyline (+100)
