2024 NFL Draft

All signs point to Georgia TE Brock Bowers going to the New York Jets at No. 10 overall, including Peter Schragers' and Bucky Brooks' latest mock drafts. Even if something funky happened - like the Chargers trading back with the Bears to take Bowers at ninth overall, as Hoov's Mock Draft 3.0 suggested - Bowers would still be a top-10 pick and cash this ticket.

BettingPros' own Thor Nystrom has Bowers as his ninth player overall on his 2024 NFL Draft Big Board, while NFL Networks' Daniel Jeremiah has him seventh. Bowers at plus-money to be a top-10 pick probably shouldn't be a thing. But it is, so we'll kindly invest heavily.

Brock Bowers To Be a Top-10 Pick (+120)

San Diego Padres @ Colorado Rockies

The NL West is a competitive division for everyone except the Rockies. They struggle from both sides, scoring the fifth-fewest runs per game (3.60) and having the worst ERA (5.61). Dakota Hudson's first season at Colorado is not going well. He has a 4.80 ERA and the Rockies are 0-4 in his starts.

For the Padres, not much was expected after they got rid of some of their big names, including not re-signing NL Cy Young winner Blake Snell and trading Juan Soto. One piece they got from the Soto trade is Randy Velasquez, and he's coming in after an excellent debut for San Diego, going five innings and allowing one earned against the Blue Jays.

It's always tough for pitchers making their first start in the thin Colorado air, which Velasquez will be doing. And with Hudson struggling, the Padres should have plenty of offense.

Pick: Over 10.5 (-120)

New York Knicks @ Philadelphia 76ers

The Knicks and 76ers shift to the City of Brotherly Love for Game 3. New York has surprised with a pair of victories to take a commanding 2-0 series lead. New York won 111-104 in Game 1 as a 4.5-point favorite with the Over (208.5) cashing. In Game 2, the Knicks won 104-101, but the Sixers covered as a 4.5-point 'dog and the Under (206.5) hung on.

The Knicks have won five of the last six meetings this season since Jan. 5, while going 4-2 ATS. The Under is on a 5-1 run in these six meetings, too. Additionally, the Knicks have surprisingly won three of the past four trips to Wells Fargo Center, while the Under is 3-1 in those four outings.

Philadelphia was on fire to close out the regular season, covering 10 straight, while going 14-2 ATS in the final 16 games. While the 76ers posted a 105-104 win in the Play-In Tournament against the Miami Heat, it failed to cover. The 76ers are just 1-2 SU/ATS in three postseason games. Something is missing on this Sixers team, and the Knicks are humming along. New York has won seven in a row dating back to April 7. What a value to back the Knicks as they look to put away the Sixers, who are like a race car with a blown head gasket or cracked engine block. Conservative bettors should take the points, while more adventurous bettors should roll with the ML.

Bet: Knicks +4.5 (-110)
