NFL Best Bets

Detroit Lions @ San Francisco 49ers

Brock Purdy has thrown for over 340 yards twice this season. Last week’s performance against the Green Bay Packers will leave many bettors fading him this week, but he could be in for his biggest performance of the year.

The Lions allow a lot of passing yards. In the postseason, they’ve allowed both quarterbacks they’ve faced to throw for over 340 yards against them. It’s the style of defense they play, and it’s unlikely to change before Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

Christian McCaffrey could take away some of Purdy’s yards by running the ball against the Lions. However, the Lions are allowing just 78.5 yards per game in the postseason, and including postseason and regular season games, they’re allowing just 3.8 yards per carry this season. Purdy will take advantage of the Lions’ secondary and become the sixth consecutive quarterback to throw for over 340 yards against the Lions.

Bet: Brock Purdy Over 340.5 Passing Yards (+500)

NBA Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Utah Jazz @ Washington Wizards

This is another pace-up spot, with a massive game total of 244.5. Over the last 15 games, the Jazz are first in pace, while the Wizards are third. Washington can’t defend anyone either and is 29th in defensive net rating. They have also allowed the eighth-most points and second-most rebounds to opposing power forwards on the year, setting up Lauri Markkanen to have a fantastic night.

Over the past month, when he has played at least 28 minutes, Markkanen has been a beast. He has found at least nine rebounds in 13 of 14 games, averaging 10.3 RPG. Lauri is also averaging 26.6 points per game over this sample and has found at least 24 points in 10 of his last 14.

Utah is also one to cede plenty of production to power forwards. They have allowed the fifth-most points per game to the position, and Kyle Kuzma is typically a player to go over this total. He’s averaging 21.8 points per game on the season. As long as they can find a way to keep this one close, Kuzma should be able to find his way over this mark once again.

Parlay Odds: +400

NHL Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Minnesota Wild @ Nashville Predators

The next game we’re targeting is between Minnesota and Nashville. The Wild are marginal home favorites with moneyline odds set to -125 at FanDuel Sportsbook. Minnesota has won 12 of their last 13 games at home against opponents on a losing streak, which is exactly where the Predators find themselves. Nashville has lost three of their last four games outright. Minnesota also outplayed them at home back in November, losing 6-1 in a blowout.

The Wild have won three consecutive games outright by at least two goals, beating quality opponents like Florida and Carolina on the road. The Predators have an extra day of rest to their advantage but the Wild are a very good team at home, plus it isn’t a back-to-back for them either. Minnesota has won six consecutive games as a favorite after recording a win, and they also won their previous home game against Nashville 4-3. We’ll happily take the Wild to win outright at -125 odds, so let’s stake a unit on one of the hottest teams in the NHL.

Bet: Minnesota Wild Moneyline (-125)
