Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens

For as good as the Ravens have looked at times this season, they’ve struggled against AFC opponents. They’re 4-3 against the AFC and have played in five one-possession games within the conference.

The first time these two teams met this season, Joe Burrow fought through his calf injury, and the Bengals fell 27-24. The Ravens amassed 415 yards in that game, yet Cincinnati managed to hang around until the contest’s final moments despite not forcing a single turnover.

The Bengals lost to the Houston Texans last week, which ended their four-game winning streak. But even with the loss, the Bengals are playing their best football of the year. Tonight’s game is an absolute must-win for them. A field goal will likely decide this game even if they don’t win.

Bet: Bengals +3.5 (-108)

Brooklyn Nets at Miami Heat

Jimmy Butler isn’t one to typically surpass this line. Averaging just 20 points per game, he has been held under this mark in seven of nine games, one of which came against the Nets on Nov. 1. He’s coming off an impressive 32-point performance against the Hornets, but that’s more of an aberration from the norm and a result of playing one of the worst defenses in Charlotte. Brooklyn lost Ben Simmons but got Nic Claxton back and should be able to slow Butler down with Mikal Bridges blanketing him. In Butler’s last three games against Bridges and the Nets, he scored 20, 18 and 13 points.

Without Simmons in the fold, someone will have to step up in the assists department. They have now played in four consecutive games without him, and second on the team in potential assists over this span is Mikal Bridges. While he isn’t usually thought of for his assist prowess, Bridges has exceeded this mark in seven of 11 games this season. Plus, the Heat have allowed the third-most assists per game to opposing small forwards.

Following that sentiment, someone must gather all the boards that Simmons would normally grab. Obviously, the majority will go to Claxton, but a shorter line and arguably a better look is to Bridges once again. He has five rebounds or more in nine of 11 games. When these teams matched up on Nov. 1, Bridges finished with seven rebounds and five assists.

Parlay Odds: +550

New Jersey Devils @ Pittsburgh Penguins

New Jersey continues to play without Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier in its lineup, which has been an obvious downgrade during their absence. The Devils are 1-4 straight up in their last five games played, and they’ll now play their sixth road game out of their past seven matchups. The Penguins are on a completely different trajectory with a healthier lineup, winning five consecutive games, including a 5-3 road win over Columbus with Sidney Crosby scoring a hat trick.

Pittsburgh’s turning to Magnus Hellberg in the crease for his second start of the season to attempt improving to 2-0. Vitek Vanecek is the projected starter for the Devils. Still, his season has been underwhelming, allowing seven goals in his last 68 minutes of time on ice, getting pulled mid-way through the first period in a 4-2 loss against Washington during his last start. His presence sets up a great opportunity to continue cashing overs, as New Jersey is now 11-3 toward the over. Yes, Pittsburgh is 5-7-2 in favor of the under, but its gone over 6.5 total goals in four of its past six games played.

We’re getting a bit of juice on over 6.5 at -138 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook, but this is the biggest lock on Thursday’s nine-game slate. Timo Meier, Tyler Toffoli and Dougie Hamilton will continue to pepper the goal with shots, while there is some speculation that Hughes could return to the lineup for this game. Even without their star center, New Jersey has proven more than capable of scoring in bunches and cashing overs. Let’s stake two units on over 6.5 total goals to be recorded at PPG Paints Arena on Thursday night in this Metropolitan Division matchup.

Bet: Over 6.5 Total Goals (-130)
