Tennesee Titans @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Kenny Pickett is hobbled, and Will Levis is making just the second-career start, and yet, we're still backing the over in this game. While both offenses have certainly struggled throughout this season, the defenses have been a serious problem as well.
While both teams are allowing 21 or fewer points per game, they're each also allowing over 360 total yards per contest. The fact that teams are struggling to score more shows how good these defenses are in the red zone, but we can't trust this low of an under when the ball will be inside the 20 plenty for both teams.
Also, the Steelers are forcing 2.1 turnovers per game. We've seen this defense score touchdowns numerous times this season. Against a rookie quarterback, they could give their offense plenty of short fields, or they could just score themselves.
Bet: Over 36.5 (-110)

NBA Best Bets
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Detroit Pistons @ New Orleans Pelicans
The Pistons suffered a 110-101 loss at home against the Portland Trail Blazers, cashing the Under (216.5) on their home floor Wednesday. The Pelicans were on the road, taking care of the Oklahoma City Thunder by a 110-106 score, as the Under (227.5) just came in below the wire.
Both of these teams had to travel, and while we just started the season, the second end of a back-to-back while traveling can really take some of the energy out of the legs, even in the early going.
While the Pistons cashed the Over in its first back-to-back this season, last season Detroit faced a similar situation. It traveled to Miami on Dec. 6, 2022, then to New Orleans on Dec. 7, 2022. It cashed the Under in a 104-98 loss to the Pels with a total of 228.5.
The Pelicans are playing their first back-to-back this season. The Over was 8-4 last season when playing on no rest. However, New Orleans cashed the Under in OKC on Wednesday, and the total has gone low in three of four games to date.
Bet: Under 219 (-110)

NHL Best Bets
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
New Jersey Devils @ Minnesota Wild
New Jersey has been the best NHL team for overs, remaining 8-0 against the goal total line this season. Minnesota isn't far behind, going 7-2 with overs, including a 4-3 loss to the Devils on Oct. 29 at the Prudential Center.
On Thursday, the Devils will hit the road to play the Wild, where they remain a slight favorite at -114 odds. New Jersey has won four of their last five games outright, while Minnesota is 1-5 SU in its last six games played, which includes two home losses to Columbus and Los Angeles.
Oddsmakers have juiced the goal total over line to -132, especially since Filip Gustavsson is allowing a 4.36 GAA through five games this season. Minnesota has lost each of its last six games against Metropolitan Division opponents, while New Jersey has failed to cover the puck line in each of their last six games against opponents on a losing streak. The over seems too obvious, but there's a lot more juice out there on Thursday's NHL slate compared to -132 odds. Taking the Devils' moneyline odds at -114 is better, but we've seen them lose to Washington and Arizona this season. So, let's stick with hammering a two-unit bet on over 6.5 total goals to be scored in a matchup that should yield at least seven total goals.
Bet: Over 6.5 Total Goals (-132)
