Los Angeles Chargers @ Las Vegas Raiders

Without really knowing what to expect from Stick this week, it's hard to pick either team against the spread confidently. Meanwhile, the Raiders have not decided whether Aidan O'Connell or Jimmy Garoppolo will get the start Thursday night. No matter who starts for the Raiders, it's hard to imagine either of these teams scoring more than 20 points in this game.

The Raiders haven't scored 20 or more since Week 9, and the Chargers have scored 23 combined points in their last three games. Neither defense is playing poorly, but neither team can pick up wins because of how awful their offenses have been. Nothing about the personnel these teams put on the field Thursday suggests that should change.

Golden State Warriors @ Los Angeles Clippers

The Warriors (10-12) travel to meet the Clippers (13-10) in the final game of the evening. Golden State made plenty of headlines this week after Draymond Green socked Jusuf Nurkic of the Phoenix Suns in a game on Wednesday. He has since been suspended indefinitely by the NBA.

Even with Green, the Warriors had been skidding, posting just two wins across the past six outings and four wins across the previous 15 contests. Golden State is just 1-2 ATS in the past three games and 5-9 ATS in the past 14 outings. However, They did cover a pair of games in a home-and-home set with the Clippers on Nov. 30-Dec. 2.

Still, the Clippers are playing terrific basketball lately, winners of five in a row, and they're 3-1 ATS in the past four games. While it's hard to ignore that 0-2 ATS mark against Golden State this season, do it. Roll with the home side in the late-night game and feel confident doing so.

NHL Best Bets

Ottawa Senators @ St. Louis Blues

Oddsmakers are projecting close to a pick'em between Ottawa and St. Louis. This follows the Blues' decision to move off of their head coach, which could inspire the team to play hard after enduring a 1-5 record since the beginning of December.

St. Louis ranks 10th in goals allowed per game at 3.32, while Ottawa isn't far behind at 3.22. The Senators' offense is the difference-maker here, ranking inside the top 10 in goals scored per game (3.39) behind the likes of Brady Tkachuk, Claude Giroux and a team-high 20 assists from Tim Stützle.

Three of the previous five head-to-head matchups have gone over 6.5 total goals, plus St. Louis has surrendered at least five goals in three of their last four outings. Facing an offensive juggernaut like Ottawa, over 6.5 total goals is once again the play, with fair odds of -122 at FanDuel Sportsbook.
