Top 2 TBT Betting Odds & Picks for Tuesday (7/19)

I know the NBA Summer League has concluded. But we’ve got more basketball to bet on. The TBT began on July 16. It’s the highest stakes basketball tournament in the world, with the winning team taking home $1 million.

You know the drill. If it can be bet on, we’ll break it down and bet it. Here are our picks and predictions for a couple of the TBT games on the horizon later tonight.

Team Challenge ALS vs. LA Cheaters

Team Challenge ALS scored 87 points in their first game of the season, defeating Once A Branco. Marvelle Harris led the team with 28 points in that game. This team also got double figures from two other players and watched Jeff Ledbetter add six assists.

Meanwhile, the LA Cheater scored 73 points in their first game of the season, defeating Ram Up. It was Sedrick Barefield who did most of the damage, adding 25 points while playing nearing 35 minutes in the game. Casper Ware and James Ennis were also major contributors in that game, as the Cheaters got double-digit efforts from both of those players.

At this point, both teams seem to have depth. Team Challenge ALS is a bit deeper, but the LA Cheaters have a great starting unit that is willing to take on more workload.

However, Team Challenge ALS wasn’t so great on the glass in their first game, only earning 32 rebounds in that game. They actually allowed more rebounds to their opponent in that game. The LA Cheaters added 46 rebounds in their game and many more steals.

I’ll take a flier on the LA Cheaters at +130, knowing that their roster will be doing more of the little things, like earning rebounds and steals.

Bet: LA Cheaters (+130 at DraftKings)

Team Arkansas vs. Gutter Cats

The Gutter Cats have already played two games this season. They’ve knocked off Always Us and The Cru and will be looking for their third win of the tournament over Team Arkansas.

Through two games, QJ Peterson has averaged 18 points, while Jarrell Eddie, Michael Roll, and Tyrese Rice have each averaged double figures through two games.

The Gutter Cats have one of the best offenses in the TBT and have added 80 points per game through two games. However, the Gutter Gang will struggle on the glass, only earning 27 rebounds per game. However, they are getting 33.5 points per game off the bench through two games, which shows the depth.

Meanwhile, Team Arkansas is currently 1-0 but scored just 69 points in their win over Omaha Blue Crew. Jaylen Barford added 19 points in the win, along with three other players who added double digits in points. Team Arkansas really doesn’t have much depth offensively coming from the bench, and while the defense looked solid, I’m just not sure if Team Arkansas could keep up with such a talented offensive team like The Gutter Cats.

I’ll take the Gutter Cats at -6 against the spread.

Bet: Gutter Cats -6 (-110 at DraftKings)
