Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday, Jan. 13, 2023

Hawks -2.5 (-110) vs. Pacers

With Trae Young out of the lineup Wednesday with an illness, the Hawks couldn’t keep up down the stretch with the Bucks, despite hanging in for most of the game. Now, they hit the road for Indiana to take on a Pacers team that has been playing well as of late, winners of seven of their last 10.

Even still, the Hawks have dominated this series, winning four of their past five matchups. With Young back in the lineup, the Hawks should get back on track in this spot.

Spurs +8.5 (-110) vs. Warriors

In what is expected to be the biggest crowd to ever witness an NBA regular season game, this game will be played at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio. With 68,000 people on hand, the Spurs will be desperately looking to get back in the win column, doing so just once in their past seven games.

It hasn’t been from a lack of effort, however, as the Spurs have covered six of those games, including back-to-back games at Memphis this week. The Warriors have also been in a rut, losing three straight, all at home, as they now hit the road for a four-game road trip beginning tonight.

Though this is officially listed as a neutral site game, the Spurs will have the home atmosphere, and with nearly 70,000 fans on hand, expect them to show out once again. I also expect the site lines to somewhat hinder the Warriors’ massive advantage in the shooting department.

Timberwolves -4.5 (-110) vs. Suns

In the absence of both Chris Paul, DeAndre Ayton and Devin Booker, all out again Friday, the floor has fallen out from this Sun’s team. Now losers of eight of their last 10, the Suns have failed to score more than 98 points in five of their last six games; all defeats.

Minnesota has been dealing with injuries of its own, but its bench has proven much deeper. Winners of four of their last five, I like for this Timberwolves team to make it five of six tonight, covering in the process.
