Today’s Best NBA Bets

Here are our top NBA picks for Monday’s slate of games.

Jazz +2 (-110) vs. Timberwolves

In what was surely supposed to be a rebuilding year, the Utah Jazz continue to hover around the .500 mark on the season, largely due to having one of the league’s best offenses at 117.4 points per game. They also show a willingness to play defense nightly, closing out on shots many other teams fail to do nightly across the league.

For the Timberwolves, a hot start has been derailed by injuries, as Karl Anthony Towns continues to miss time (calf), and will now possibly be joined by Rudy Gobert (groin) and Anthony Edwards (hip). Though Utah certainly has injury concerns of its own, with Colin Sexton a go tonight, I think they get it done on the road.

Jazz +2 (-110)

Suns +10.5 (-110) vs. Grizzlies

In a matchup that could very well be the Western Conference finals once both sides are healthy, the Suns head to Memphis tonight for what would have been the marquee matchup of MLK Day. Unfortunately, the Suns are absolutely riddled with injuries, as almost their entire starting five from the start of the season is out with injury.

Losing eight of their last 10, their record certainly indicates as such.

The Grizzlies, on the other hand, come into tonight winners of nine straight, overcoming injuries of their own to power ahead up the standings. A closer look shows they’ve covered just one of their last four, however, as the market has not fully adjusted.

Look for the Suns’ reserves to show out tonight, keeping this one close late.

Suns +10.5 (-110)

Lakers -5.5 (-110) vs. Rockets

Though they’ve dealt with their fair share of injuries themselves, the Lakers are as healthy as they’ve been since the start of the season. Even still, they come into tonight having lost three straight, though all have been against legitimate title contenders in the Nuggets, Mavericks, and 76ers.

They now draw Houston, who comes into tonight having lost 10 straight, covering just one of those games along the way. The Lakers roll in this one in the late spot.

Lakers -5.5 (-110)
