Top 3 NBA Betting Picks for Wednesday, March 2nd (2022)

As the calendar turns the March the basketball world’s attention turns to college ball, leaving even more value for those who follow the NBA. Part of long-term success is getting a good closing line value, which is simply a more favorable spread than the number at the close.

Let’s take a look at three current spreads I think will offer some value.

Bet $10 on Any NBA Game, Win $200 if Either Team Hits a Three-Pointer >>

1. 76ers -10.5 -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

After a start to the season that had some playoff talks brewing in New York, things are starting to get ugly. Their offensive production has fallen through the floor and with that their wins. Coming into tonight, the Knicks rank 27th in the league averaging just 105 points per game, as they’ve now lost nine of their last 10 and five straight ATS.

For the home 76ers, three straight wins since the acquisition of James Harden has them now just three games back from the top-seeded Heat, as the new-look team is starting to gel earlier than expected. Averaging 129 points in the two games with Harden, I expect a show tonight in his first game in Philly, as the 76ers route the Knicks for the second time in less than a week.

2. Heat ML |  +160 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Currently sitting four games back from the top-seeded Heat in the East, the Bucks will look to pick up a game tonight at home as they welcome to town the red-hot Heat. Having won nine of 10 including their past four straight, the Heat do everything at an elite level and has multiple scorers that can bury you on any given night. In their Monday night rout of the Bulls, five Heat players scored 15 or more with the entire starting lineup finishing with a +/- above 17.

While the Bucks continue to try and drum up the magic of last season, they come into tonight having lost four of six, going just 1-5 ATS over that run. I like for the Heat to keep this one close until the end as they do enough late to pick up the win.

 3. Nuggets -13.5 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

On the back of Nikola Jokic and his 25.5 points and 13.8 rebounds per game, the Nuggets are coming into playoff form and will only get better. With two starters in Michael Porter Jr. (back) and Jamal Murray (knee) expected back in the next two months, the current 6th seed Nuggets potential is truly NBA Finals or bust in a West as wide open as it’s been in years.

For the visiting Thunder, who are 1-6 ATS in their last seven trips to Denver, their 101.9 points per game are the worst in the league, and with Luguentz Dort now potentially done for the season with a shoulder injury, the bottom has fallen out defensively as well. I like for a Nuggets team who has won six straight including three of four ATS to pick up another tonight at home.
