Top 3 NFL Saturday Player Prop Bet Odds & Picks (Wild Card)

The NFL is delivering some great Wild Card Saturday matchups this year. Saturday’s first game brings us a Cleveland Browns team that is a favorite in the playoffs for the first time since 1994. The Browns will take on C.J. Stroud and the fiery Texans. In addition to that matchup, the later game will see star receiver Tyreek Hill return to Kansas City for the first time to face his former team.

Let’s take a look at our top player prop bets for this playoff Saturday.

Amari Cooper Over 5.5 Receptions (+120)

The Browns went to Houston to face the Texans on Christmas Eve, with the former winning 36-22 (QB C.J. Stroud did not play). The Browns scored first and did not look back the rest of that game. I think today’s game will be different, but the Texans will still need to find a way to contain Cooper.

Cooper ended up with a historical effort, going for 11 receptions, 265 yards and 2 TDs against a suspect Houston secondary. He’s not going to have that type of game this time, but I still think the Browns and Joe Flacco lean on the combination of Cooper and Njoku to get the job done. With 37 targets from Flacco in the past 3 games, Cooper is poised to go for another 6-7 catches. Take the Over 5.5 Receptions for Cooper with confidence.

Dalton Schultz Over 40.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

On the other side, I like another Over for TE Dalton Schultz at 40.5 receiving yards. On Christmas Eve, Schultz finished with eight Receptions and 61 Receiving yards, as he was catching passes from backup QB Davis Mills. The Browns limited WR Nico Collins to 18 yards, and he will most likely be their main focus on defense once again.

Schultz should find himself in favorable matchups throughout the day in order to clear this over. A bit of a problem area for the Browns is covering the short-to-intermediate passing game over the middle. Over the past several weeks, they’ve allowed some big games to pass catchers in this area, including Schultz, Evan Engram, and Puka Nacua. Look for Schultz to take advantage of this in today’s game.

Rashee Rice Under 62.5 Receiving Yards (-105)

This is a very tough game to judge with all of the variables going into it. First, the Dolphins have several injuries on both sides of the ball that could effect them significantly. Also, we have some weather concerns in Kansas City, as temperatures are supposed to drop below zero degrees with a wind chill bringing it down to around -20.

Are the Dolphins going to compete and keep this game close or do they have too much stacked against them right now? If they want to be in this game, their defense is going to have to step up and make some big plays. Yes, CB Xavien Howard and LB Jerome Baker are out. The Dolphins have more players that are questionable, including safeties Jevon Holland and DeShon Elliot. I’m not sure if Jalen Ramsey will be matched up on Travis Kelce or Rice for most of this game, but regardless, I still like this play.

Rice has been great over the past month and a half, as he’s averaging 86 Receiving Yards in his last six games. Tonight, I think this streak ends. Not only will he face Ramsey throughout this game, but the freezing temperatures and win gusts up to 25 MPH may affect this Chiefs passing game.

I expect Isiah Pacheco to get plenty of carries against a depleted defense that isn’t accustomed to playing in the cold. The Chiefs can ease up on the passing game even more if they get out to a lead in the first half. While I’m a big fan of Rice, the game script and other factors will keep him under 60 yards in tonight’s game.
