Top 3 NFL Best Super Bowl Longshot Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

First Touchdown Scorer: Chiefs Defense/Special Teams (+3500)

It may seem wild, but I actually think it’s a real possibility. The last time the 49ers faced an elite AFC team (the Baltimore Ravens), Brock Purdy threw a career-high 4 interceptions. Could nerves from the world’s biggest game make Purdy slip up once again early in this game? The Chiefs have strong cornerbacks in L’Jarius Sneed and Trent McDuffie, and each have the ability to take one to the house at any given moment. I could see Purdy looking to target Brandon Aiyuk early on, which could open the door for one of these cornerbacks to make a big play.

Most Receiving Yards: Kadarius Toney (+4000)

We are doing longshots, right? What could be a better buy-low opportunity than to take Kadarius Toney here? It’s been a disastrous year for Toney, between arguing with Giants fans, dropped passes, and the devastating offsides penalty against Buffalo. Nobody is expecting Toney to do anything in this game based on what we’ve seen this season. But, don’t forget that Toney scored a touchdown last year versus the Eagles on a play designed for him. I wouldn’t put it past Andy Reid to draw up another big play for Toney to catch the 49ers sleeping. Who knows, maybe he breaks a long one and gets his confidence up for the rest of the game on his way to leading the team in receiving yards!

Rashee Rice to score First, George Kittle to score Second (+5000)

One thing has been known all year: this 49ers secondary is their weakness and teams need to take advantage of this in order to beat them. I think Patrick Mahomes is going to have a field day with the back-end of this defense. I’m assuming the 49ers won’t let Travis Kelce beat them to start out the game, so look for Mahomes to find Rashee Rice for the game’s first score. On the other side, I’m not sure the Chiefs have a guy that can cover George Kittle all night. I think the 49ers will attack this defense on the ground with Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel, and then look to the play action and George Kittle over the middle. Don’t be surprised if this longshot actually cashes!
