Top 5 NBA Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (3/17)

There are 10 games on the slate in The Association this evening and no shortage of options to explore. Let's not waste any more time and jump right into some of our favorite picks for Monday, March 17th.
Monday’s Top 5 NBA Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
New York Knicks -7.5 (-110)
This is certainly a scary number for a New York team that, beyond the starters playing big minutes, nothing is really for certain. Having said that, the Knicks have won three of their last four games at home and face a Miami Heat team struggling at the moment.
The Heat have lost seven games straight and are averaging the fewest amount of points over that span (101.1). Whereas on the defensive side of the floor, Miami is allowing over 111 points per game on 48.7% shooting from the field.
Miami has lost three straight games by more than 7.5 points. The Knicks have allowed the opposition to shoot 42% from the field over the last five games. This contest has the makings of one that may get out of hand early, despite the division rivalry between the two teams.
Houston Rockets Team Total Over 119.5 Points (-110)
After coming off a solid win yesterday against the Mavericks, Philadelphia once again hits the court tonight on the road in Houston. The Sixers and Rockets are traveling on two completely different paths currently, with Houston the more successful of the two.
The Sixers have already ruled out most of their starting lineup, with Kelly Oubre Jr. listed as questionable as well. The rebounding advantage for Houston gives them a tremendous edge and they should have every opportunity tonight for second-chance scoring on the offensive end.
Houston is the top rebounding team in the league, averaging 11.1 more rebounds per game than Philadelphia, who records the lowest number of boards every contest. The Rockets are averaging 53 rebounds per game over their last three contests and appear to be in a great spot to dominate this game on the glass.
Houston is averaging 120.3 points per contest over the last three games on 47% shooting from the field. The Sixers rank 25th in defensive rating over the last 10 games. We feel the Rockets go over their 119.5 points team total tonight against a very undermanned Philadelphia team
Isaiah Collier 25+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)
The rookie out of USC has been sensational over the last four games, exceeding at least 25 points + rebounds + assists in two of those contests. Isaiah Collier faces a Bulls team this evening who concede the third-highest amount of assists per game to the opposition.
Chicago is currently playing at the fourth-fastest pace amongst all teams over the last 10 games and is allowing over 117 points per game on 47.5% shooting from the field.
Collier has averaged at least 30 minutes on the floor over the last three games. The Utah guard is shooting over 50% from the field over the last four contests while also averaging six assists per game. Given the opponent and current form, Collier will record at least 25 combined points + rebounds + assists tonight.
Denver Nuggets @ Golden State Warriors Over 236.5 Points (-110)
The Nuggets are averaging over 120 points in their last 10 ten contests, while the Warriors are just behind at 119.1 per game. Denver covers 50% of the time following a loss and in 58% of 12 road underdog games. The Nuggets have cleared the suggested total in two straight contests and combined for over 250 points over that span.
The Warriors cover the over in 50% of games played when at home as the favorite. Golden State has only failed to exceed the 236.5 total in two of their last five games. The team is shooting over 48% from the field over that span.
This may be a sweat. Yet, given the tremendous offensive prowess for both teams, and Denver looking to get revenge after a horrific loss to Washington on Saturday, it seems only right to favor the over in this contest.
Memphis will be without the services of Ja Morant for this contest as he is dealing with a hand injury. This does not derail our feeling that Memphis is currently playing a better brand of basketball than the Kings.
Memphis has won five of their last six games, while Sacramento is going through a four-game losing streak. The Grizzlies are averaging 120 points over the last six games. The Kings are only putting up 110.2 points per game over their last five contests.
Sacramento is only successful in 46% of games played where they are coming off of a loss on the season, while Memphis is 24-18 after winning the previous contest. The Kings have allowed at least 120 points to the opposition in three straight games. Memphis should have no problem scoring in this contest and looks to be in a great spot to pick up a win on the road tonight.
Enjoy the games tonight and best of luck with your picks.
