There are eight games on the slate in The Association this evening and no shortage of options to explore. Let's not waste more time and jump into some of our favorite NBA picks for Monday, March 24th.
Monday’s Best NBA Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Minnesota Timberwolves -2 (-112)
Both teams enter this contest on winning streaks. The Pacers have won their last four games, while the Timberwolves are rolling at the right time, winning seven straight as we get closer to the postseason. Minnesota on the Moneyline is certainly an option tonight. However, we feel the stronger play may be to take the points.
The Pacers are 1-9 against the spread (ATS) over the last 10 games, and 0-4 when playing at home as favorites. The Timberwolves are 3-0 in their previous contests when playing on the road. Minnesota leads the league in scoring over the last 10 games - 123.8 points per contest.
The Timberwolves have the sixth-best defensive rating over the last 10 games and are allowing the second-fewest amount of points per game over that span (110.2). The Pacers have been playing well as of late, but Indiana will fall short tonight of beating Minnesota by two or more points.
Dallas Mavericks Team Total Under 109.5 Points (-110)
The Mavericks rank in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency over the last 10 games. They match up against a Brooklyn defense allowing only 110.5 points per game over that span. The Nets have not allowed more than 108 points in the last three contests.
Dallas averages 95 points when playing on three days of rest. They have only scored more than 109.5 points against one top-10 defensive team since late February. Brooklyn is holding the opposition to the seventh-lowest effective field goal percentage over the last three games.
The Mavericks have certainly been scoring in bunches as of late. However, the Nets’ defense has been the only bright spot for Brooklyn this season, and they are still one of the tougher teams to score on. Unless this number drops further, we will take the under on Dallas exceeding 109.5 points.
Immanuel Quickley 28+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)
Immanuel Quickley is averaging 21 points, 5.4 boards and 6.2 assists over his previous five contests. The Toronto guard gets to feast on the Washington Wizards tonight, who are allowing the most points per game of any team (120.7). Washington also concedes the fifth-most amount of assists and the most rebounds of any team on the season.
Over the last five games played against Washington, Quickley is averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists on 51.4% shooting from the field. The Raptors' guard has combined for at least 28 points + rebounds + assists in three of the previous four games against the Wizards.
Chicago Bulls Moneyline (+145)
This selection may be a bit ambitious. Having said that, without the services of Nikola Jokic, the Denver Nuggets are always going to be in a vulnerable spot. When you factor in this will be the second game in consecutive nights for Denver, it makes a ton of sense to take a swing on the plus action and back Chicago for a road victory.
The Bulls have won back-to-back road games and three out of their last five overall. Chicago has scored at least 120+ points in three games straight - including 146 against the Lakers on Saturday. The Bulls have the sixth-highest offensive rating over the last five games.
The Nuggets are 4-6 without Jokic in the lineup this season, averaging 109.3 points in those games. Denver's offensive rating slides almost 10 points when Jokic is not on the floor.
Milwaukee Bucks @ Phoenix Suns Under 225 Points (-110)
We close out the night in Phoenix, where the Suns have won three straight games at home. The Bucks will be without Damian Lillard and will be playing their fourth road game in seven days.
Milwaukee is averaging a mild 107.5 points over the last four games and ranks 20th in true shooting percentage over that span. The Bucks are 5-9 against the team total for their opponents when playing on the road. Phoenix is 4-7 against their team total when playing with a rest advantage.
The Suns are 2-8-1 against the over when the team has had more days to rest than the opponent. The Bucks are 4-10 against the over when playing in contests as road underdogs. The over has hit one time in the last four games played between these two teams.
Enjoy the games tonight and best of luck with your picks.
