Tuesday's MLB Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Minnesota Twins (+142) at Baltimore Orioles (-170) | O/U 8.5 (-108/-112)

The Orioles were able to take the first game of this series 7-4. The power came through in that game as they popped three home runs, and the long ball has been present as they're second in home run percentage. It's been a fantastic start for Grayson Rodrguez, as Baltimore is 3-0 in his outings and has two quality starts.

It's been a tough start for the reigning American Central champs. Last year, they heavily relied on their pitching as the offense struggled, especially with striking out. It is even worse this year as they are last in average and strikeout percentage. Chris Paddack hasn't gotten past the fifth inning in either of his starts, has only allowed two earned in each, and the Twins have won both games.

Both teams have pitched well to start the season, and this could result in a low-scoring game.

Pick: Under 8.5 Total Runs (-112)

Los Angeles Angels (+130) at Tampa Bay Rays (-155) | O/U 8.5 (-115/-105)

The Rays had a rough start to the season, but they've been playing better lately and are 4-2 in their last six. They've been struggling to adjust to all the injuries, especially to the starting rotation. Aaron Civale has been one of the starters that have been helping this depleted staff; he's allowed two or fewer runs in each of his three starts, including against the Angels in a win.

The Angels are only 8-8, but with the AL West struggling as a whole, they are only a half-game off of first. They’ve lost four of their last five, and their pitching has been especially bad, with a 4.40 ERA in that span. Jose Soriano's previous start in the last series against Tampa Bay didn't go so well. He pitched four innings and allowed four earned runs in the loss.

Civale has been one of Rays more dependable pitchers and he could help the team beat the Angels in back-to-back starts.

Pick: Rays Moneyline (-155)

Atlanta Braves (-115) at Houston Astros (-105) | O/U 10 (-108/-112)

Although Atlanta will be without one of the best pitchers for the whole season, don't expect it to hurt them that much. This team has started the season off well, thanks to its offense, which scores the most runs per game. Ronaldo Lopez has had a phenomenal start to the season, with two quality starts, and although the walks are a little high, it hasn't hurt him so far.

The Astros have had a brutal start to their season. It began with a sweep at home to the Yankees, and they've never been able to establish themselves, having only won back-to-back games twice this season. Hunter Brown gets the ball, and his last start was absolutely brutal. He couldn't get out of the first inning and allowed nine earned runs to the Royals.

Now, he has to face the best offense in baseball. This might be another rough start.

Pick: Braves Moneyline (-115)
