Friday’s Best Player To Hit A Home Run Prop Bets
Yordan Alvarez to Hit a HR (+350 @ DraftKings)
If you’ve been watching playoff baseball, there really is no explanation needed for this pick. There isn’t a hotter hitter on the planet than Yordan Alvarez right now. He has hit a home run in four of eight playoff games. Six of his 13 hits this postseason have gone out of the park, and he had a homer robbed in Game 3 of the ALCS. He’s baby David Ortiz.
Jose Abreu Hit a HR (+400 @ FanDuel)
Houston’s first basemen has heated up at the right time. After uncharacteristically not hitting all season, Abreu started to come alive in September with a 123 wRC+. He has carried that over into October where he has hit four dingers across his eight games. Sandwiched between Kyle Tucker and Yordan Alvarez, Jose Abreu will pretty much always have a platoon advantage, with Texas electing to throw their best lefty arms when the middle of the order comes up. He has a career 144 wRC+ facing Southpaws, and if he gets a mistake from one of the lefties he faces, he can take them deep. Jordan Montgomery has been red-hot, but you never know when the ball is about the drop.
Nick Castellanos to hit HR (+560 @ FanDuel)
Castellanos is as locked in as anyone else at the plate right now. He has five dingers across his nine playoff games and was on a home run tear to end the season as well. Over his last 25 games, the Phillies right-fielder has 12 bombs. The Diamondbacks will be going to a bullpen game, but it doesn’t really matter who he has faced as of late. At +560, this is definitely worth a sprinkle.
