Friday's NBA Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Denver Nuggets at Sacramento Kings (-1)  | O/U 232 (-110/-110)

The champs are showing that pedigree as they've won ten of their 13 games. They're one of the more efficient teams at moving the basketball as their assist-to-turnover ratio is the best in the league, and they're top ten in effective field goal shooting both offensively and defensively.

The Kings must try and combat the Nuggets through a fast-paced offense. At 14.2 seconds per possession, they're the third-fastest, while the Nuggets are forcing opponents to 15.1 seconds, the second-slowest.

The Kings will try to win with volume shooting, but the Nuggets have a much better field-goal percentage overall. They know how to control the game’s pace, and it will be tough for Sacramento to stay competitive.

Pick: Nuggets Moneyline (-104)

Washington Wizards at Boston Celtics (-16.5)  | O/U 238.5 (-108/-112)

The Celtics didn't make any big splashes at the trade deadline, but they went out and bolstered their bench. They didn't need much improvement with the top Adjusted Offensive Ranking, Adjusted  Net Rating, and third-best Adjusted Defensive Rating.

The Wizards continue their journey to have a chance at the top pick. They're coming in losing four straight, and their last two wins were against the only team worse than them, the Pistons, and the worst team in the Western Conference, the Spurs.

The Celtics have already seen the Wizards and cruised to a 19-point win against them on the road. Even though they've lost two games during this homestand, this will be easy in the TD Garden.

Pick: Celtics -16.5 (-112)

New Orleans Pelicans (-1) at Los Angeles Lakers | O/U 235.5 (-110/-110)

The Pelicans are riding a four-game winning streak. The first three games were against below-average opponents, but they came through in their last game and beat the top-seeded Clippers in the Crypto. They return to downtown Los Angeles to face the other team that lives there.

The Lakers ended their annual Grammy road trip on a high note with three straight wins. Unlike the Pelicans, there's more than one quality win; they went into Boston and beat the best home team this year, then New York and snapped the Knicks' nine-game winning streak. They unfortunately came up on the short end of a tight battle against the Nuggets, and they'll have to come right back 24 hours later.

As an older team, the Lakers have trouble returning the next day and putting up a good effort. They're just 1-7 this season going on no rest, and New Orleans has some good momentum coming into tonight.

Pick: Pelicans Moneyline (-108)
