Houston Rockets (+160) at Brooklyn Nets (-190) | O/U 218.5 (-110/-110)
The Rockets rolled up a 138-104 win on the road against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, and now face the quick turnaround. The team plane of the Rockets arrived at Newarkâs Liberty Airport at 12:16 a.m. ET, so it was a late night arriving at the team hotel.
Houston picked up a 112-101 win over Brooklyn in the first meeting back on January 3 as a 4-point favorite as the Under (222.5) connected as well.
The Nets have dropped three in a row, and seven of the past eight games overall, while going 2-5-1 ATS in the past eight and 4-16-1 ATS in the past 21 games overall. Brooklyn was on the short end of a 96-94 score as a 4-point underdog as the Under (218.5) easily came through. The Under is on a 5-2 run while going 9-4 in their previous 13 contests.
Houston is worth playing on the moneyline for a chance to multiply your money by more than 1 1/2 times, as Brooklyn has really struggled offensively lately. Additionally, the Nets have just two wins since Dec. 27.
Bet: Rockets Moneyline (+160)
Minnesota Timberwolves (-500) at San Antonio Spurs (+385) | O/U 226 (-110/-110)
The Timberwolves scratched out a 96-94 win at Brooklyn last time out, and it has won the first two stops on a four-game road trip. Still, the Timberwolves are just 1-3 ATS in the past four games, while going 4-5 ATS in their past nine road outings.
The Spurs posted an impressive 116-100 win as 5-point favorites on Friday night. They face the back-to-back situation, but it is a little easier when playing consecutive games at home. San Antonio is 4-1 ATS in the past five games while going 10-3 ATS in the past 13 contests.
In addition to the side, weâll also look to the Over. The Under (232.5) cashed in the game against Portland, but the Over is 4-1 in the past five games for the Spurs. They have scored 114 or more points in five straight outings while coughing up 124 or more points in four of the past five. When the Spurs are playing on no rest, the Over is 5-3 in eight games this season.
Minnesota has cashed the Under in three of the past four games, but the Over has hit in nine of the past 16 road outings. The Timberwolves have won three in a row in the series, but the Spurs have covered the past two, including both meetings this season. The Over is 5-3 in the past eight meetings, too.
Bets: Spurs +10.5 (-110) AND Over 226 (-110)
Sacramento Kings (-136) at Dallas Mavericks (+116) | O/U 242 (-110/-110)
In the final game of the NBA slate, the Kings travel to meet the Mavericks. Dallas suffered a 129-113 setback against Sacramento in the first meeting on Nov. 19 as a 1.5-point favorite as the Under (247) cashed.
Dallas returns home after a 148-143 win in Atlanta on Friday night, and Luka Doncic dropped 73 points in that game. That was the fourth-highest-scoring game in NBA history. In fact, he had 41 points at halftime in the amazing performance.
The Mavericks have a quick turnaround, and the only time they played on the road, then returned home, Dallas pounded San Antonio 144-119 as an 8-point favorite as the Over (243) cashed on December 23.
The Kings are 6-1-1 ATS in the past eight games on the road, and the visitors are worth playing on the road. However, weâll also play the Over here.
Bets: Kings -2.5 (-108) AND Over 242 (-110)
