Saturday’s Best NBA Bets

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook | All wagers are for 1 unit

Memphis Grizzlies @ Phoenix Suns

The Grizzlies play the second contest of a three-game road trip, and no matter the venue for Memphis, it’s been all about the Under lately. The total went Under by rather comfortable fashion in the first stop of the trip in Dallas, as the Grizz won 108-94 on a total of 224.5. The total has ended up going low six games in a row for the Grizzlies, which includes a 110-89 loss at home against the Suns on Nov. 24 with a line of 220.5.

The Suns have alternated the Over and Under in each of the past five games, falling 119-111 against the Denver Nuggets at home on Friday night. One thing that could determine your unit allocation on this wager is the status of G Devin Booker. He hasn’t played since Nov. 29 and is listed as questionable due to an ankle injury. If he is out, along with his 27.3 PPG, 8.5 APG and 5.4 RPG, that’s a lot of production on the sidelines, too.

Bets: Under 218.5 (-110)

Portland Trail Blazers @ Utah Jazz

The Trail Blazers picked up a giant victory on Thursday night in Cleveland, winning outright for the second-consecutive game as an 11.5-point underdog. Portland has covered a season-high four in a row, and the cover streak was kicked off with a 121-105 win against the Jazz in Portland on Nov. 22 as 3.5-point underdogs. It isn’t a slam-dunk play, as the Blazers were dropped 115-99 in Salt Lake City as a 7-point underdog back on Nov. 14.

Still, the Jazz have dropped two in a row, and they’re just 3-3 ATS in the past six games overall, including that outright setback to the Blazers. Neither of these teams is doing very well overall on the season, but at least Portland has been hot against the number. That’s the way to go.

Bets: Trail Blazers ML (+110)

Denver Nuggets @ Sacramento Kings

The defending champs have pieced things together lately, winning four in a row while covering in three of those outings. After a 105-86 loss in Houston, the offense has rebounded nicely, scoring 113 or more points in each of the four wins.

This will be the first meeting of the season. The Kings are coming off a 131-117 loss against the Los Angeles Clippers at home last time out, and Sacramento is 2-3 SU and 1-4 ATS in the past five games overall. It’s hard to believe the books have installed the Kings as the favorite, especially since the Nuggets have won six of the past seven meetings while going 5-2 ATS during the span.

While injuries could be a factor, with both Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray carrying questionable tags, the Kings have Trey Lyles out and Keegan Murray listed as questionable, too. All signs point to a Denver cover if not an outright win.

Bets: Nuggets +4.5 (-110)
