Chicago Bulls vs. Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers will have Joel Embiid back in the lineup tonight. Meanwhile, De’Anthony Melton has been ruled out due to a sore back.

The 76ers are dominant with Embiid in the lineup. He’s an MVP candidate. However, the Bulls have added two wins against the 76ers earlier this year. Chicago won a road game against Philadelphia without Zach LaVine. In the second game, the Bulls dominated the 76ers when the Sixers didn’t have Embiid. That game was on December 30.

Philadelphia typically defends very well. The 76ers have held teams to 111.5 points per 100 possessions, and Chicago doesn’t score efficiently. However, the Bulls have been able to limit turnovers and have earned 28.5% of offensive rebounds, which isn’t too bad.

On the other hand, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic are still out for the Bulls. With that, Andre Drummond has stepped up in a big way on the glass and around the rim. They’ll need his best defense against the 76ers, who have earned 121.6 points per 100 possessions. Embiid and the Sixers are the best at getting to the foul line and have turned the ball over just 12.4% of the time.

The Bulls will be more shorthanded, but a 10.5-point spread is too high. Take the Bulls at +10.5 instead.

Bet: Bulls +10.5 (-110)

Orlando Magic vs. Golden State Warriors

Steve Kerr and the Warriors will use a starting lineup of Chris Paul, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Jonathan Kuminga, and Trayce Jackson-Davis for now.

That means Andrew Wiggins, Brandin Podziemski, and Kevon Looney will come off the bench.

Golden State has had a tough time holding onto the basketball. The Warriors have lost the ball 15% of the time, which is 26th in the NBA.

Meanwhile, the Magic are earning 15.7% of turnovers and should continue to rack those turnovers up against Golden State. The Warriors are also great on the defensive glass, but Orlando has limited teams to 25.1% of offensive rebounds. That’s the best defensive rate in the NBA.

On the other hand, the Magic will see plenty of foul shot attempts against the Warriors and should limit turnovers. Orlando won’t get the best looks from the field against Golden State. However, they’ll get enough looks at the foul line to escape with a road win.

Let’s back the Magic at -3.5 in this matchup. The Warriors are two games below .500, while the Magic are five games above. Orlando has been the more consistent team this year.
