New York Knicks vs. Milwaukee Bucks

The New York Knicks have quietly put together a solid season so far. They’ve gone 12-7 and are playing in the quarterfinal of the In-Season Tournament.

New York’s offense has been a bit inconsistent. The Knicks have scored 116.3 points per 100 possessions. However, the Knicks have also shot a 52.4% effective field goal percentage. That’s only good for 24th in the NBA.

However, New York has earned 33.5% of offensive rebounds and has only turned the ball over 13.4% of the time.

The Bucks aren’t going to earn many turnovers. They’re also not the best at holding teams to poor shots. However, the Bucks are good at limiting foul shots, an area where the Knicks need to improve.

Meanwhile, the Bucks have scored 118.5 points per 100 possessions. They’re also shooting a 57.1% effective field goal percentage. Still, Milwaukee is playing a more difficult defense. The Knicks have held teams to 110.5 points per 100 possessions and have limited opponents to only 24.3% of offensive rebounds.

Like the Bucks, the Knicks aren’t allowing many teams to get to the foul line, either. The Bucks have been more consistent in shooting the basketball. But they’re ineffective on the glass and rarely earn second chances. I like the Knicks in this matchup.

Bet: Knicks +4.5 (-110)

Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Lakers

The Suns won’t have Bradley Beal for this game. He’s making progress but is unavailable for this matchup. That’s hurt the SUns a bit.

Phoenix has only shot a 54.5% effective field goal percentage, which is 17th in the NBA. They’re great at getting to the foul line and dominating the offensive glass. However, the Lakers are one of the best teams at keeping teams off the foul line.

Los Angeles has also forced teams to a 53.1% effective field goal percentage and are defensively top-ten in points per 100 possessions.

On the other hand, the Lakers should see the foul line more frequently. But unlike the Suns, the Lakers won’t dominate the offensive glass. It’s still likely that Los Angeles shoots at a higher percentage from the floor. However, the Suns should get more offensive rebounds and second chances.

Meanwhile, the Lakers should be more active at the charity stripe.

The Over 228.5 makes the most sense in this matchup.

Bet: Over 228.5 (-110)
