Philadelphia 76ers vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Currently, C.J. McCollum is listed as a game-time decision for the Pelicans. However, he will participate in shootaround, which means it’s likely that the Pelicans shooting guard will play in tonight’s game.

New Orleans will need him. McCollum has averaged 21.7 points per game but hasn’t played since November 4. He and the Pelicans offense need to keep up with the 76ers.

Philadelphia has scored 121.7 points per 100 possessions, which is second in the entire NBA. They’re also the best at getting to the foul line and limiting turnovers to under 13%. On top of that, the 76ers have grabbed over 30% of offensive rebounds. They’re a pain to defend across the board.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans have allowed 113.3 points per 100 possessions with a 53.7% effective field goal percentage. Essentially, New Orleans is an average defense in most significant categories.

On the other hand, the Pelicans have only scored 112.3 points per 100 possessions, with a low effective field goal percentage of 53.7%. They’ll be able to keep turnovers down against the 76ers but won’t dominate the glass like the 76ers will. Philadelphia’s defense is slightly better, holding teams to 113.1 points per 100 possessions.

Although the 76ers are on the road, they’ll be better on the glass and get to the foul line more. That’ll be the difference.

Bet: 76ers -1.5 (-110)

Los Angeles Clippers at Sacramento Kings

The Clippers and Kings will be featured on NBA TV tonight.

While the Clippers have looked better recently, they’ve still lost two of their last three and are 7-9 on the season with a team filled with all-stars.

Meanwhile, the Kings are sitting at 10-6 and have won two straight games against the Timberwolves and Warriors.

While the Kings aren’t a top defense in the NBA, they’ve been good on the defensive glass, holding teams to 24.5% of offensive rebounds. While the Clippers won’t get many second chances, they’ll still find their way to the foul line, where the Kings have allowed a 22.6 free throw rate this season.

On the other hand, Los Angeles has held teams to 108.9 points per 100 possessions. Opponents have shot an effective field goal percentage of 51.1% against the Clippers, which is 5th-best defensively in the league.

Los Angeles has earned 15% of turnovers and has done better at limiting free throw attempts. With Keegan Murray likely out for the Kings tonight, the Clippers should have no problem defending the Kings well enough to get the win.

Bet: Clippers -1.5 (-110)
