Atlanta Hawks vs. Toronto Raptors

The Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors have lost four straight games heading into this one.

Atlanta has allowed at least 125 points in three of those four games. However, they’ve also added at least 113 points in those four matchups.

The Hawks certainly have one of the best offenses in the NBA. They’ve scored 119.4 points per 100 possessions and have added 31.4% of offensive rebounds. That rate is good for third in the NBA on the glass.

But while the Hawks are great at getting to the foul line, the Toronto Raptors have held teams to a 17.8 free throw rate. Toronto is an average defense all around. But that’s the one stat that stands out for the Raptors.

On the other hand, the Hawks have one of the worst defenses in the NBA. They’re 26th in the NBA in points per 100 possessions, allowing 118.9 points. They’ve also allowed a 57.2% effective field goal percentage and have allowed 30.1% of offensive rebounds.

The Hawks will earn some turnovers. But they’re struggling on the glass, as the Raptors have hauled in 30.4% of offensive rebounds this season.

But while the Hawks give up a high effective field goal percentage, the Raptors aren’t getting the highest quality of looks in the first place. They’ll need to dominate the offensive glass for second chances. That will help stay the course with Atlanta.

Let’s back the Over 239.5.

Bet: Over 239.5 (-110)

Indiana Pacers vs. Milwaukee Bucks

This is the game that most NBA fans are interested in.

The Pacers have knocked off the Bucks in back-to-back games this season. The most recent matchup was in the NBA In-Season Tournament, when the Pacers took care of business, earning a 128-119 win over the Bucks.

Heading into this game, the Bucks have acknowledged that they want revenge and will be prepared for the Pacers this time around.

However, the Bucks don’t have a defense capable of stopping the Pacers. The Pacers lead the NBA in points per 100 possessions and effective field goal percentage. Indiana has scored 124 points per 100 possessions and has shot a 59.2% effective field goal percentage.

Indiana has also turned the ball over 12.5% of the time this season. The Pacers won’t see the foul line at a high rate but should get high-quality looks while limiting turnovers.

Meanwhile, the Bucks also have one of the best offenses in the NBA. They’ve added the second-highest effective field goal percentage this season with a 57.7% number. The Bucks have also scored 119.6 points per 100 possessions.

But what stands out even more is that the Pacers have allowed a 25.7 free throw rate on defense. That’s the worst rate in the NBA. With the Bucks in the top ten in offensive free throw rate, Milwaukee can add many points with the clock stopped.

The Over is high. But I’ll still take it. The Pacers scored at least 126 points in each game and have the potential to do the same this time around. The difference would be the Bucks’ efficiency in helping push this game over the total.

Bet: Over 258.5 (-110)
