Minnesota Timberwolves (+156) at Denver Nuggets (-186) | O/U 207.5 (-110/-110)
Itâs Saturday night, and we have just a single game, but thatâs OK. There is a tremendous Same Game Parlay (SGP) for this potentially exciting Game 1 between the upstart Timberwolves and the defending NBA champion Nuggets.
The Timberwolves suffered a 4-0 regular-season series sweep against the Phoenix Suns, but Minnesota turned the tables in the postseason. The Timberwolves racked up a 4-game sweep of their own, including three victories by double digits. Game 4 in Phoenix was the closest call for the Wolves, winning 122-116, but Minnesota was still able not only to sweep, but go 4-0 against the spread (ATS), too. The Over cashed in three of the four games, including both playoff games on the road for the Timberwolves.
Minnesotaâs Anthony Edwards was a man-possessed against the Suns, registering a team-best 31.0 points per game (PPG) with 8.0 rebounds per game (RPG), 6.3 assists per game (APG) and 2.0 steals per game (SPG). Karl-Anthony Towns was solid with 19.3 PPG and 9.5 RPG, hitting 53.1% percent of his field goal attempts, while Rudy Gobert was good for 15.0 PPG and 11.0 RPG, cashing in on 61.3% of his attempts. Minnesota boasts six different players averaging double-digit point totals, as well.
The Nuggets couldnât finish off the sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4 at Crypto.com Arena, but Denver returned home for Game 5 and showed LeBron James and the Lake Show the door. Denver won its final three games in the series by single digits, and it is just 1-3 ATS in the past four games against the Lakers. The Under is also 4-1, cashing in each of the games Denver won.
The play in this series opener to take the points. Denver has had difficulty cashing against the number, and Minnesota is fresh-faced, starry-eyed, and looking to show they have arrived. In addition to the side, go with the Over. The total has gone high in two of the past three regular-season meetings, while the Over is 5-2-1 in the past eight meetings. Minnesota is also 5-1 ATS in the past six meetings, including three of four regular-season battles this season.
Bet: Timberwolves +4.5 (-110) and Over 207.5 (-110)
In addition, consider this 4-leg Same Game Parlay (SGP).
- Leg 1: Anthony Edwards 30+ Points
- Leg 2: Rudy Gobert 10+ Rebounds
- Leg 3: Nikola Jokic 10+ Assists
- Leg 4: Jamal Murray 2+ Three-Pointers
Parlay Odds: +594.
