Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics

The 76ers say it’s no distraction, but James Harden’s antics are a distraction to the 76ers. Philadelphia needs another star on the roster.

Joel Embiid can’t do it alone. But his attitude towards the Sixers and unwillingness to play for the Sixers is straight-up annoying for Philadelphia.

The 76ers don’t know if Harden will even play for them today against the Celtics.

On top of that, the 76ers are coached by Nick Nurse, who will manage his first game for the 76ers.

Meanwhile, don’t expect the stars to play a lot of minutes. Those stars like Embiid, Jayson Tatum, or Jaylen Brown won’t get a significant run. Those guys will likely play about a quarter of the action, give or take.

However, maybe Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis play a tiny bit more since they’re new to the team.

That’s why I think Boston’s depth has more flexibility.

Grab the Celtics at -5.

Bet: Celtics -5 (-110)

Sacramento Kings vs. Toronto Raptors

The Kings and Raptors will play in Vancouver on Sunday. Some believe that the NBA should still have a team in Vancouver.

Anyway, the Kings will maintain that offensive momentum they had last year. Sacramento locked up Domantas Sabonis with a contract extension after last year’s dominating season.

Under Mike Brown, the Kings will be difficult to guard, with D’Aaron Fox leading the way. No matter who is on the floor for the Kings in the preseason, the Kings should play a fast-paced style of basketball.

This year, they’re looking to add more physicality. That could potentially mean more foul shots with the time stopped.

On the other hand, it sounds like Precious Achiuwa will miss this preseason game with a groin injury. Therefore, the Raptors are already short a man. But this will still be a great game to get Gradey Dick involved and comfortable in the offense.

Toronto was unwilling to part with some of their younger players in a trade for a star point guard. Therefore, the Toronto starters must step up and show growth this year. They’ll need Scottie Barnes and OG Anunoby to play at a high level this season.

However, Anunoby will likely test free agency, so he’ll probably have a significant year ahead in a contract season.

We’ll likely see a lot of points scored in this Canada Series game.

Bet: Over 225.5 (-110)
