Top NFL Week 3 Player Prop Bets: Picks & Predictions (2024)
Weâre back with another edition of NFL Week 3 player prop bets to wager. Itâs a small sample size, but weâre beginning to see each teamâs strengths and weaknesses.
My NFL Week 2 player props went 2-1, with Cleveland QB Deshaun Watson failing to throw for more than 212 passing yards during an 18-13 road win against Jacksonville. Tampa Bay WR Chris Godwin cashed over 5.5 receptions at +106 odds, finishing with seven receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown in a win over Detroit. Dallas RB Rico Dowdle recorded under 35.5 rushing yards during a 44-19 loss to New Orleans, bringing us profit with 30 total rushing yards.
Iâve found three more Week 3 NFL player props to wager ahead of another loaded slate. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more free bets and weekly analysis.

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Dâonta Foreman O 41.5 Rushing Yards (-113)
Clevelandâs low-scoring win on the road against Jacksonville was the result of a steady balance of short passes and runs to sustain long drives. Expect a similar approach from the Browns against the New York Giants, who are surrendering 5.3 YPC, which is fourth-most in the league in 2024.
Jerome Ford only recorded seven carries compare to Dâonta Foremanâs 14 carries in Week 2, as Foreman wound up with 48.3 percent of the rushing share and played 37.5 percent of snaps, just a slight tick under Ford at 44.4 percent. Foreman finished with exactly 42 rushing yards against a Jaguars run defense that is much less vulnerable than the Giantsâ run defense, so letâs stake a unit on Foreman to go over 41.4 rushing yards with another load of double-digit carries at home against New Yorkâs bottom-tier run defense.
Rashid Shaheed O 49.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
New Orleans has been the most surprising team through two weeks, starting 2-0 with routs of the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys. The Saints lead the NFL in most points scored (91) by a 22-digit margin and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed has been a big piece of their passing attack.
Shaheedâs dynamic vertical speed allows him to get behind coverage, setting up QB Derek Carr to drop back out of shotgun or in play-action to target him deep downfield. The third-year wideout has a 70-yard reception and a 59-yard reception this season, both for touchdowns, and he should be able to exploit a porous Eagles pass defense in Week 3.
Shaheed has recorded over 50 receiving yards in both games thus far, hitting 73 and 96, so letâs stake another unit on New Orleansâ talented WR2 to once again hit the over on his receiving yards player prop at home against Philadelphia on Sunday.
George Pickens U 49.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
Pittsburghâs WR1, George Pickens, was held quiet by a very talented Denver pass defense in Week 2 after starting strong with 6-85 on seven targets against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1. In Week 3, the Steelers host the Los Angeles Chargers, who have allowed just 4.5 net passing yards per attempt, third-fewest in the league.
The Chargersâ secondary should blanket the Steelersâ passing attack, which is already pedestrian, likely forcing Pittsburgh to establish the run with Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren, and Fields since they allow 4.0 YPC. Pickens went 2-29 on four targets in Week 2, and against another stingy secondary, I expect heâll finish with less than 50 receiving yards for the second consecutive week against Los Angeles.
