(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Los Angeles Kings (-166) at Detroit Red Wings (+138) | O/U 6.5 (+100/-122)

It's been a rough time for the Kings, who looked like the best team in the league for the early part of the season. They are coming in, losers of seven straight with only four points in that span.  It doesn't get any better with a tough schedule coming up, which includes the Red Wings.

One of those recent losses was to the Red Wings. Detroit has simmered since their hot start at the early part of the season, but they have been dealing with a lot of injuries, and that's a big reason why their expected goals are at 48.7%.

The Kings need a win badly, and they've played four straight games that have been decided by one goal, including against Detroit. The familiarity could help the Kings finally get back in the win column.

Pick: Kings 60 Minute Moneyline (-110)

Colorado Avalanche (-104) at Toronto Maple Leafs (-115) | O/U 6.5 (-152/+124)

The Avalanche have one of the best top lines in the league. Nathan MacKinnon is second in the NHL with 67 points, Mikko Rantanen is ninth with 53, Valeri Nichushkin has 22 goals, and Cale Makar is fifth with 39 assists. The problem with them is if they don't get production from them, there is no depth on this team, as no one else even has 25 points.

You can say the same thing for the Maple Leafs. Auston Matthews has been hot lately, with 19 goals in his last 17 games; Mitch Marner has 45 points, but Willam Nylander has been their best player with 57 points are fifth in the league.

This is one of those games where, although the goalies are playing well, you should expect plenty of offense.

Pick: Over 6.5 Total Goals (-152)

Edmonton Oliers (-235) at Montreal Canadiens (+190) | O/U 6.5 (-124/+102)

How good are the Oilers right now? This is the hottest team in the league, as they have nine straight wins. In the beginning, the offense was leading the charge by scoring 30 goals in the first six wins, but they've played some closer games, and the defense that had been terrible the last couple of seasons has been great, especially Stuart Skinner, who has a 2.67 goals allowed per game.

The Canadiens have some great young talent, and as this team progresses, they will get better. They've played some competitive games recently, all decided by one goal, and they did get a win against the Rangers.

Although Edmonton has played some close ones recently, this should be easy to grab on the puck line.

Pick: Oilers -1.5 (+100)
