Top NHL Prop Bets for Tuesday, February 22nd (2022)
We have a good six-game slate of hockey tonight with multiple betting angles to attack. My prop bets went 2-1 last Thursday and I look to repeat that performance (or better) with my three best NHL prop bets below.

Robert Thomas o0.5 Assists (+110)
The St. Louis Blues travel to Philadelphia tonight to take on the Flyers. I really like Robert Thomas in this spot as the Flyers have been absolutely lifeless over the past few months, losing 18 of their last 20 games.
The Flyers rank 30th in the league in 5-on-5 expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA) and are 24th in penalty kill percentage. This stat is important for this matchup as the Blues have the leagueâs second-best power play percentage.
This is a good spot for Robert Thomas to generate some scoring chances as he centers the Bluesâ first power play unit. Not only does he have a good chance for an assist on the power play, but he also centers the second line between St. Louisâ two leading goal-scorers (Pavel Buchnevich and Vladimir Tarasenko).
Thomas has recorded at least one assist in three of his last four games and has 32 assists in 42 games played this season. Oddsmakers think there will be a good amount of scoring this game with the total currently sitting at 6.5, and I like this spot for Thomas to grab at least one assist.
Torey Krug o1.5 Shots on Goal (-135)
This play sort of goes along with my Thomas play above as I like the Bluesâ power play unit to be busy tonight. The Flyers also just get peppered with shots every single night as they currently rank 28th in the league in opposing shots on goal allowed with an average of 33.9 per game.
In an ideal world, Robert Thomas will set up Krug for a goal on that first power play unit and we can kill two birds with one stone. Krug has gone over this total in two straight games and in seven of his last 11 games.
Brent Burns o2.5 Shots on Goal (-125)
Another team that gets peppered with shots on a nightly basis is the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks currently rank 26th in the league in opposing shots on goal allowed with an average of 33.2 per game.
Since the all-star break, all of the Ducksâ games have turned into track races. There have been seven or more total goals scored in all four of those games.
I like this spot particularly for Burns as he has seen a shooting increase following Erik Karlssonâs forearm injury. Burns has played in eight games since Karlsson was removed from the lineup and he has gone over this total in seven of them.
This is my favorite play on the board tonight, and I think he keeps the streak going against an Anaheim team that sometimes decides not to play any defense.

Best of luck tonight!
