NBA Same Game Parlay

Washington Wizards @ Dallas Mavericks

  • Mavericks Moneyline (-280)
  • Kyle Kuzma Rebounds o8.5 (+115)
  • Luka Doncic Rebounds o10.5 (-105)

There’s no greater time to play a moneyline than in a SGP, and we can’t foresee the Mavericks falling to the Wizards on their home court. The Wiz have played much better of late, ranking 14th in the NBA in Net Rating over their past ten games (they rate 23rd on the season), but the deck is stacked against them in Dallas. Washington was already going to be absent C Kristaps Porzingas for this contest, but they now find themselves missing PF Rui Hachimura in the wake of their trade with the Lakers.

The Wizards are suddenly bare thin in their frontcourt, and such lack of depth will necessitate that Kuzma makes his presence felt on the interior. The number is admittedly high, but perhaps not high enough– over his past three games, Kuzma has tallied double-digit boards in each contest, and the Mavs are the worst rebounding team in the NBA.

Similarly, we’re going to back Doncic to have an efficient night on the glass. Luka is Dallas’ leading rebounder and shouldn’t find much resistance against such a depleted Wizards team.

NBA Game Picks

Chicago Bulls vs. Indiana Pacers

Tyrese Haliburton will be back soon for the Pacers. But he won’t be back soon enough. Haliburton will be inactive for tonight’s game against the Bulls.

Chicago is on a three-game winning streak with wins at home against the Warriors, Pistons, and Hawks. Now they’ll be on the road facing a Pacers team that can’t find ways to win without Haliburton.

The Pacers have allowed 29.9% offensive rebounds this season, and while the Bulls aren’t very good on the offensive glass, there’s a solid chance they’ll earn more second chances in this game. Meanwhile, the Pacers turned the ball over 15.1% of the time and scored just 112.8 points per 100 possessions.

Chicago does all of the little things well. They’re a top-ten defense in turnover percentage, opponent offensive rebounding percentage, and defensive free throw rate. That’ll help them get past the struggling Pacers.

Bet: Bulls (-110)

First Basket Scorer

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Tonight these teams battle to determine the best team in Los Angeles. Both teams are struggling with consistency at this point in the season. That includes winning the tipoff. These teams are two of the most inconsistent at winning the first possession.

The most consistent player between these two teams is LeBron James. He has been one of the most consistent players since he entered the NBA. That means he is always a value bet. Bettors can take advantage of his consistency tonight.

Bet: LeBron James (+390 FanDuel)

NBA Prop Bets

Julius Randle UNDER 41.5 Pts + Ast + Reb (-120)

On the other side of the combo prop, you have Julius Randle, who I expect to struggle tonight in all three stats.

Taking on Cleveland is tough in nearly every category. They will slow down the game with the second-best defense to go with it. They rebound well and can score. I don’t see Julius Randle having a breakout game tonight.

This is one of the best plays on the slate tonight, with the BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet having this under as a +40 percent expected value. I must go with the computer, throwing one unit on this prop.

NHL Game Picks

Winnipeg Jets vs. Nashville Predators

The Predators secured a 5-3 win over the Kings on Saturday evening, and they’ll take on a Predators team that’s won two straight games. This Central Division clash gets underway at 8:00 p.m. ET from Bridgestone Arena.

Both of these sides have been very reliant on their defense and goaltending this year; however, the Jets have been just a smidge better on the stat sheet. That’s ultimately why I’ll lock in Winnipeg as short favorites on the road tonight. Connor Hellebuyck will likely get the nod for the Jets, and he’s been a force this year. The netminder is 23-12-1 with a 2.39 GAA and .924 SV%.

The team comes into tonight’s tilt ranked second in both goals allowed per game (2.44 GAA) and on the penalty kill (83.82%). They’ll be tasked with slowing down the 26th-ranked offense, the Nashville Predators (2.8 GPG). Look for the Jets to make life hard for the Predators’ forwards and come away with a low-scoring victory.

Bet: Winnipeg Jets Moneyline (-120 via DraftKings)

NHL Same Game Parlay

Boston Bruins vs. Montreal Canadiens

  • Leg 1: Bruins -2.5 (+135)
  • Leg 2: Over 5.5 Total Goals (-140)
  • Leg 3: Bruins – 0.5  in First Period (+100)

No one was excepting the Canadiens to compete this season, but there is optimism when you look at the roster.

Nick Suzuki is projected to grab nearly 70 points, and Cole Caufield set a new career-high in goals. Caufield is unfortunately done for the year with a shoulder injury, and sidelined players have been the theme for the Habs this season.

The Bruins continue to dominate with the league’s best record, offense, and defense.

David Pastrnak has been great, as his 63 points are third, and Brad Marchand is averaging over a point a game, but this team possesses some of the best puck movement in the league and has five players with over 20 assists.

Then you have Linus Ullmark, who should dust off a spot for the Vezina Trophy. He’s the current favorite to win, according to Vegas, and no one has come close to 4.55 Wins Above Replacement.

This is a great game to pad a parlay with a tremendous offensive performance by Boston.

College Basketball Game Picks

Ohio State vs. Illinois Spread

Entering Ohio State’s last game against Iowa, the Buckeyes had lost five consecutive games, and suddenly questions about its roster had it in serious jeopardy of dropping six straight. Sean McNeil was questionable because of emergency dental work, and Justice Sueing was relegated to the bench after recent struggles, and those two are two of their top-four scorers. However, the Buckeyes got ten points apiece from both players en route to a 16-point rout of Iowa, and their 93 points were 20 more than they had scored in any Big Ten game this season. Illinois has looked vulnerable in two separate 15-point home losses to Penn State and Indiana, and the Buckeyes’ shooting prowess (Big Ten-best 41.8% from 3-point range in league play) has had them due for positive regression for quite some time.

The underdog and road team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings between these teams. In addition, four of Ohio State’s five losses in its recent losing streak were by four or fewer points, and we’re looking for its beatdown of Iowa to spur a winning streak.

Bet: Ohio State +4 (-110 at DraftKings)
