Seattle Mariners (+116) at New York Yankees (-134) | O/U 7 (-110/-110)

The Yankees will try to regroup after getting swept in Boston against the last-place Red Sox. The large problem lately is that the offense cannot thrive without Aaron Judge, and they are batting .195 with a .599 OPS since he went on the IL. They'll have the consistent Gerrit Cole on the mound, and he already has ten quality starts this year, including three straight.

The Mariners have underachieved this season after coming off their first playoff appearance in over two decades. They're 7-10 in their last 17 games, which includes dropping two of three against the Yankees in Seattle. That one win was with George Kirby on the mound as he went a strong eight scoreless in that start.

This has the potential to be a great pitching matchup, and it's tough to trust either lineup at this time. Grab the under.

Pick: Under 7 (-110)

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Milwaukee Brewers

We've got a weak pitching matchup in Milwaukee tonight.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will start Ryne Nelson tonight. Nelson has been fine against righties. However, he's struggled badly against lefties, allowing lefties to hit a .381 ISO and wOBA of .466 over his last 50 lefties faced. Nelson has only earned 10% of strikeouts against lefties and has walked them 16% of the time.

Christian Yelich has hit a .197 ISO and wOBA of .417 against his last 80 right-handed pitchers. Yelich has also limited strikeouts and will bat leadoff for the Brewers.

On the other hand, Colin Rea will start for the Brewers. He's another righty struggling against lefties. In the last month, lefties have hit a .290 ISO and wOBA of .506 against Rea. Ketel Marte is a switch-hitter but will bat from the left side against Rea. Marte has a .206 ISO and wOBA of .372 in his last 73 plate appearances against righties. Meanwhile, Corbin Carroll, another lefty, is slugging a .480 ISO and wOBA of .538 against his last 83 righties.

Stack your parlay with lefties in this game.

Parlay Odds: +664

Aaron Rodgers UNDER 4050.5 Passing Yards

Aaron Rodgers finished well short of this number last season with 3,695 passing yards. Now, he's playing for the Jets, who have one of the better defenses in the NFL and probably won't be involved in a lot of high-scoring shootouts so that Rodgers can be more of a game manager than a gunslinger. The Jets' new offensive coordinator, Nathaniel Hackett, was the Packers' OC for three seasons, from 2019 to 2021. During those three years, the Packers ranked 28th, 32nd and 32nd in offensive pace. Rodgers isn't going to throw enough this season to hit the over on this number.

Tyreek Hill OVER 1,299.5 Receiving Yards

When concocting this yardage line, the lines maker had to have a few daytime cocktails. That's the only reasonable explanation I can come up with. Tyreek Hill's situation hasn't changed at all. Last season he set the league on fire with 1,710 receiving yards, and he could have had more if Tua Tagovailoa had stayed healthy.
