Colorado Rockies @ Chicago Cubs
The AL West is filled with competitive teams, but the Rockies aren't one of them. Their offensive numbers are heavily skewed thanks to the home effect; they finished 18th in runs scored per game overall but were 29th in runs scored on the road. They'll have Kyle Freehand going, and the Colorado air didn't affect him because he was worse on the road last year, going 2-9 with a 5.13 ERA.
It was all Cubs in the first game of this series by grabbing the 5-0 win. They needed this after what was a brutal weekend, dropping two of three to the champs. Javier Assad gets the ball, and although he's listed as a relief pitcher, last year, he was phenomenal when called upon to start, going 3-1 with a 2.84 ERA in nine starts.
Freeland's numbers aren't good against the Cubs lineup, and their top hitters Cody Bellinger, Dansby Swanson and Ian Happ have a good history against him.
bet: Cubs -1.5 (+114)

NBA Best Bets

New York Knicks @ Miami Heat
The New York Knicks have lost their identity. They have allowed at least 101 points in three consecutive games and at least 116.7 points per 100 possessions in those three games. Their opponents are also getting easy looks from the field.
The Thunder just took down the Knicks with an effective field goal percentage of 61.6%. Meanwhile, the Spurs added a 63.4% effective field goal percentage in the game before that. The Knicks have even been inconsistent on the defensive glass, allowing at least 27.3% of offensive rebounds in two of their last three games.
Offensively, the Knicks are still strong on the offensive glass. They're also limiting turnovers and scoring at a solid rate each game.
They'll take on a Miami Heat squad that has dominated defensively but has lacked consistent offense. The Heat have won three of their last four games. They held teams to no more than 84 points in two of those wins. Like the Knicks, the Heat are very good at reducing turnovers, but they're not good on the offensive glass.
New York is typically much better defensively. Their defensive performance has been the reason they've struggled. Against the Heat, the Knicks should be able to adjust and perform well on that side of the ball. Therefore, I'll take the Under 207.5 (-105).
Bet: Under 207.5 (-105)

Vancouver Canucks @ Vegas Golden Knights
The night wraps up with a heavyweight battle in the Pacific Division as the Canucks square off against the Golden Knights. Vancouver (100 points) comfortably holds the top spot in the division, while Vegas (90 points) currently occupies the third slot in the standings. The NHL nightcap is set for 10 p.m. ET from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
This will be the third time that these two teams meet this season, and they've split the series so far. Vegas won 4-1 back on Nov. 30, while Vancouver notched a 3-1 road win on March 7. Getting plus money with the Canucks seems like a no-brainer from a value standpoint, so I'll ride with them to secure the two points tonight.
Mainly, I'm worried about the Adin Hill injury for Vegas. Logan Thompson has been serviceable in his absence, but I'm not ready to lay the juice with a backup goalie against a team that's in the running for the Presidents' Trophy. Vancouver is on an 8-3-1 run over their last 12 games, and they rank higher in overall offense (3.4 GPG vs. 3.2 GPG), overall defense (2.54 GAA vs. 2.73 GAA) and on the power play (22.32% vs. 18.34%). I'll take a flier on the +115 payout that comes with Vancouver tonight.
Bet: Canucks ML (+115)
