Today's Best Bets

MLB Best Bets

Miami Marlins @ New York Yankees

The Yankees are starting off the season strong at 9-2. New York’s offense is finding ways to get on base, and they are using their power with 13 home runs. Still, they also have plate discipline, with the second-most walks (52) and are eighth in OBP (.344). Marcus Stroman's Yankees tenure is starting very well, and he's coming off six shutout innings against the Blue Jays, where he allowed three hits.

It took the Marlins more than a week to pick up their first win at the start of the season. The pitching has been poor, allowing seven earned runs or more in six games this season. Ryan Weathers has had two decent starts in losing efforts, but the problem continues to be control, and he has a walk rate of 11.1%.

This should allow all the Yanks to get a few free passes, and they've been thriving with runners on base all year.

Pick: Yankees -1.5 (+110)

NBA Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook)

Sacramento Kings @ Oklahoma City Thunder

The Sacramento Kings have won two of the three first possessions while facing the Thunder this season. That gives them the better odds of winning the tipoff tonight. Even if they do not win the tipoff, their defense is strong enough to get a stop and an opportunity to score.

A couple of players could score first for the Kings, but the one with the most betting value is Keegan Murray. He has scored the first or second bucket in two matchups against the Thunder this season. Those two games and his +650 first-basket line make him a higher-value play tonight.

Bet: Keegan Murray (+650)

NHL Best Bets

Arizona Coyotes @ Seattle Kraken

Let's head out West to wrap things up, where the Coyotes take on the Kraken in a matchup of two eliminated teams. This Western Conference game is set for 10:00 p.m. ET from Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

The Kraken have turned to Philipp Grubauer for three straight games, so I think we'll see Joey Daccord handle the netminding tonight. If so, I'm pretty confident this game will finish under the total of 6.0 goals. Daccord has sneakily been one of the best goaltenders in the NHL this season, going 18-16-11 with a 2.42 GAA (fourth) and .918 SV% (third). He just faced Arizona on March 22, where he took an overtime loss in a 2-1 affair.

Daccord's electric season has helped keep Seattle in the top 10 defensively, allowing 2.63 goals per game (eighth). On the other hand, these are two bottom-tier offenses. Seattle has been awful offensively, scoring just 2.6 goals per game (28th). Arizona is 17th, netting 3.1 goals per contest. The Kraken have been one of the better "under teams" this season, going 42-34 to the Under. I'll look for that trend to continue tonight in Seattle; let's take the Under.

Bet: Under 6.0 Total Goals  (-115)
