MLB Best Bets
New York Yankees (+184) at Atlanta Braves (-172) | O/U 10.5 (-110/-110)
You cannot sugarcoat this; Luis Severino has been terrible this year. Already missing the start of the season due to injury, he has struggled with his location throughout the season, and his pitches break through the strike zone. This hasn't been hitters learning him after multiple at-bats. He's been getting crushed early with a 13.85 ERA in the first inning.
The Braves have developed a nice rotation, and rookie Bryce Elder is part of it. However, he's been struggling in the second half of the season with a 5.37 ERA and 5.20 FIP in his last 12 starts. Atlanta is 7-5 in those starts, thanks to more than five runs of support per start this season. Due to injuries, the Yankees do not have the firepower, and Sevy can't shut anyone down.
Pick: Braves -1.5 (-114)

WNBA Best Bets
New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces
After winning six straight games and 10 of their past 11 games, the New York Liberty have been red hot. Some of those wins have come by 30-plus points over the Aces and scoring 100 points in Indiana. Remarkably, they are seven-point underdogs tonight.
The Aces picked themselves up after their loss to the Liberty, winning three straight on the back of some historic performances by A'Ja Wilson, scoring 100-plus points as a team in two of those contests.
Watching Las Vegas lose so badly to New York in their most recent outing was truly fascinating. The Aces remain a juggernaut, leading the league in offensive rating, defensive rating, and assist-to-turnover ratio.
This will be an awesome game, but I don't expect the same outing from the Aces. Las Vegas is 11-4 ATS, and New York is 6-8 ATS on the road. I think things come back down to earth for the Liberty tonight. I'll be taking the chalk here.
Bet: Aces -7.0 (-110)
