NBA Best Bets

Denver Nuggets @ Minnesota Timberwolves
The Nuggets have been a bit more inconsistent offensively lately. They are coming off a loss against Dallas after scoring just 105 points on the road. The Nuggets limited turnovers well but added just 17.4% of offensive rebounds. The lack of rebounds on the offensive end is a trend for the Nuggets, as they are not getting to the foul line at a high rate. Denver relies on getting good shots and keeping the turnovers down offensively.
On defense, the Nuggets continue to force tough shots. They'll get beat on the glass sometimes and aren't always reliable enough to force many turnovers.
They'll take on the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have added three consecutive wins. Minnesota has been on the road for multiple weeks and will finally get a home game tonight. However, Rudy Gobert's status is in doubt. He didn't play against Utah yesterday due to a rib injury and is questionable for today.
Without one of the best defensive players in the NBA, the Timberwolves have struggled on the defensive glass, allowing the Jazz to earn 31.8% of offensive rebounds. Utah also hit a 55.4% effective field goal percentage against the Timberwolves.
That said, we'll back the Nuggets at -7.5.
Bet: Nuggets -7.5 (-110)

NHL Best Bets

Chicago Blackhawks @ Los Angeles Kings
Tonight's NHL nightcap is a Western Conference battle between the Blackhawks and the Kings. Chicago is eighth in the Central Division (43 points), while Los Angeles has moved into third in the Pacific (79 points). Puck drop is set for 10:00 p.m. ET from crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
We've seen the Blackhawks' offense breakout for five or more goals in four of their last six games. They've been victorious in all four contests. However, those performances have come against Arizona twice, Anaheim and San Jose. Their two losses over the 4-2-0 stretch have seen Chicago get out-scored 9-1 against the Capitals (4-1) and Kings (5-0) more recently.
I think this is an excellent spot to play the plus-money payout that comes with the under on Chicago's team total tonight. For starters, we have the head-to-head meeting against the Kings from Friday, where the Hawks were blanked 5-0 in the Windy City. Also, just prior to this 4-2-0 run for Chicago, they dropped seven straight games, scoring only 1.7 goals per game over the seven-game sample size. The Blackhawks are 31st in overall offense (2.2 GPG), while the Kings are third overall in defense (2.48 GAA). Let's lock in the under for Chicago's team total tonight.
Bet: Chicago Blackhawks Team Total Under 1.5 (+129)

MLB Best Bets

Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Diego Padres
- Leg 1: Ha-Seong Kim 2+ TBs (+205)
- Leg 2: Dodgers -2.5 Runs (+130)
- Leg 3: Freddie Freeman 2+ TBs (-115)
Let's start this SGP with a bit of a "hometown" play. Before joining the Padres, Ha-Seong Kim was one of the best players in the Korean league, and he should get a warm reception from the home crowd. He is not an elite power hitter but has enough gap-to-gap power and speed to hit this over.
Usually, I do not like to use these larger alt lines in my SGPs, but the Dodgers have the makings of a true juggernaut. They have three players, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani, for whom we could make a legitimate MVP case. While their pitching staff is not as dominant as they once were, Tyler Glasnow is likely a top-five baseball pitcher when healthy. Yu Darvish gets the ball for the Padres, but this Dodgers offense is just too much and should be able to bully their way into a win.
I could have used a few different hitters in this spot, but let's go with Freeman. He is one of the best all-around hitters in baseball, with elite contact skills and above-average power. He can just as easily get by with a multi-hit game as he can with one long ball.
Total Parlay Odds: +1000
