Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Philadelphia Eagles collapsed so badly in the second half that they're playing a road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on "Monday Night Football."

Although the Eagles made it into the Super Bowl last season, they are unlikely to do it again this year. Jalen Hurts hasn't been the same quarterback. Meanwhile, the defense has allowed at least 25 points in four of their last five games. Philadelphia just lost to the New York Giants, 27-10, even after giving their starters the green light to begin the game.

While the Eagles have lost four of their last five, the Buccaneers won four of their previous five. This Tampa Bay defense held the Panthers to no points in a 9-0 win in Week 18. Tampa Bay's defense hasn't allowed over 23 points in each of their last four games and still has a quality pass rush that could force Jalen Hurts into a bad decision or two.

I don't think the Eagles will recover from this second-half slump. I'll take another home underdog in the Buccaneers at +2.5.

Bet: Buccaneers +2.5 (-110)

Memphis Grizzlies @ Dallas Mavericks

The breaking news is out. Ja Morant is done for the season after an MRI revealed a labral tear in his right shoulder. He'll need surgery, which will keep him out for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, Jaren Jackson Jr. is listed as questionable, and Santi Aldama likely won't play in this matchup.

Dallas is also dealing with injuries on its end. Dante Exum, Dereck Lively II and Maxi Kleber are not expected to play, while Grant Williams and Luka Doncic are questionable.

The Grizzlies were extremely bad without Morant. They're still sitting at 13-23 and have Marcus Smart back in the mix. But this will ultimately be a wasted season for Memphis. The offense has scored just 108.7 points per 100 possessions with a 52.1% effective field goal percentage. That's one of the worst rates in the NBA.

On the other hand, Memphis has performed better defensively. Still, stopping the Mavericks will be a challenge. Dallas has added a 56.5% effective field goal percentage, which ranks sixth in the nation. They're also great at limiting turnovers and will likely see the foul line more frequently, with the Grizzlies allowing a 22.8 free throw rate.

Let's back the Mavericks at -8.5 at home.

Bet: Mavericks -8.5 (-110)

#2 Houston @ Iowa State

If there is any team that continues to receive national doubt, it's Houston. The Cougars are a dominating 14-0 and opened up their Big 12 play with a trouncing of West Virginia. Now, the Mountaineers aren't exactly impressive this year, but Houston still holds wins over Utah, Dayton, Xavier and Texas A&M - not too shabby.

Iowa State is impressive defensively, but it seems like whenever they face real competition, they crumble. Three losses to top-75 KenPom teams, with their only win in that same range coming against in-state rival Iowa, has me doubting their abilities to keep up with the juggernaut that is Houston. I see Houston as a simply better version of what Iowa State is trying to do with their grind-it-out defense, forcing a lot of turnovers and allowing nothing on the interior.

If Houston has its looks from deep, they will take and make them. With L.J. Cryer and Jamal Shead at the helm, Houston could blow out these Cyclones tonight.

Bet: Houston -2.5 (-110)
