Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets Under 40.5 (-115)
It was announced this week that Aaron Rodgers is targeting Dec. 2 to return to practice. Ever since there have been rumors about Rodgers potentially returning this season, it has seemed like the Jets have been trying to hold onto a chance at squeaking into the playoffs. If it wasn't for the potential return of Rodgers, I think this team might have mailed it in sooner. Still, at least for a couple more weeks, I expect the Jets to be game-planning for this season and not next.
For New York to have a chance at winning this week and extending their playoff hopes, they will have to rely on defense. Tim Boyle was announced as the Week 12 starter, so it's unlikely we'll see a big offensive breakout game for the Jets.
The Miami offense has been far less explosive than it was at the beginning of the season. The Dolphins have averaged only 17 points per game the past two weeks, going 1-1 against the Chiefs and Raiders.
For a highly motivated Jets team to win this game, I think it will need to be a low-scoring affair, so my lean is to the under 40.5 points.
Bet: Under 40.5 (-115)

NBA Best Bets

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers are 7.5-point home favorites against the Cavaliers. If that seems a bit high, it's because Cleveland guard Donovan Mitchell won't play tonight due to a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, Caris LeVert is questionable with a knee injury.
That won't help a Cavaliers team that is already below-average offensively. The Cavaliers have scored just 113.3 points per 100 possessions, which is 18th in the NBA. They're also grabbing 25.5% of offensive rebounds on the season. That's only good for 22nd in the NBA.
Cleveland will get to the foul line against the 76ers, and they'll be sure to limit turnovers. Still, Philadelphia has the better matchup here, defensively. The 76ers are the best at getting to the foul line. They'll see the charity stripe more than the Cavaliers will. The 76ers have also scored a league-best 121.8 points per 100 possessions.
With the Cavaliers struggling on the defensive glass, the 76ers are in a great position to earn second chances. They've grabbed 29.5% of offensive rebounds, while the Cavaliers have allowed 29.7% of rebounds.
Therefore, I like the 76ers to cover the spread with Mitchell out for the game.
Bet: 76ers -7.5 (-110)

Syracuse Orange @ #11 Gonzaga Bulldogs
It may not be the most exciting game, but you still have what should be an exciting game with a 160-point total and Gonzaga sitting around a 12.5-point favorite.
I'll keep this one short and sweet and advise taking a teaser one way or another. As mentioned, Gonzaga attempted 32 three-pointers against Purdue and made only six. Syracuse allows more three-point attempts than the Boilermakers, so the Bulldogs may attempt 35-plus shots from deep today. If that happens, I have to imagine Gonzaga's shooting improves.
Even if Gonzaga plans to take it to the hoop, Syracuse's near-proximity defense is sub-300 in the nation. The Bulldogs should have the advantage on the boards while showing off their 15th-ranked second-chance offense.
Both teams have a higher-than-average pace, but I trust Gonzaga's ability to push the pace more. Ryan Nembhard is a solid facilitator, and the Bulldogs' depth in the frontcourt is apparent with Graham Ike, Braden Huff, Anton Watson and Ben Gregg.
Judah Mintz is a star for Syracuse, but I don't see the Orange keeping up after coming off a physical loss to Tennessee, where they ran out of gas.
This game will have a lot of live betting potential, as I am sure Gonzaga will go on plenty of runs. I expect the last 10 minutes to be an offensive showcase for the Bulldogs and for them to cover this double-digit spread.
Bet: Gonzaga -12.5 (-112)
