Here are today’s best bets.

NFL Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of BetMGM)

New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on a four-game winning streak. The winning streak has put the Buccaneers on pace to win the NFC South.

Tampa Bay is 8-7, while the Falcons and Saints are sitting at 7-8. Therefore, this is a massive game for the Buccaneers at home against the Saints.

The Buccaneers have added at least 21 points in each win. However, they’ve scored at least 29 points in each of their last three games. The offense is shining behind Bakey Mayfield, who has made Mike Evans a top-five receiver in the NFL this season.

Meanwhile, the Saints watched their two-game winning streak snap against the Rams on Thursday. New Orleans will have more time to prepare and recover. However, New Orleans’ defense just allowed 30 points to the Rams in a 30-22 loss. The Saints are typically an outstanding defense, but it was a struggle against Los Angeles.

Let’s take the Buccaneers at -2.5.

Bet: Buccaneers -2.5 (-118)

NBA Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Indiana Pacers @ Houston Rockets

The Pacers-Rockets matchup is a sneaky one.

Indiana ranks first in the NBA in points per 100 possessions, holding the league’s highest effective field goal percentage of 58.5%. Meanwhile, the Rockets are second in the NBA in points per 100 possessions defensively and have allowed the second-lowest effective field goal percentage of 50.5% on defense.

The Pacers on offense are the equivalent to the Rockets on defense. The difference is Indiana’s defense. The Pacers have allowed 123.3 points per 100 possessions and have given up a 57.5% effective field goal percentage. The Pacers have also allowed a 25.7 free throw rate, the worst in the NBA.

Meanwhile, the Rockets have a top-10 free throw rate and will likely have more success on the offensive glass, knowing the Pacers have allowed nearly 31% of offensive rebounds this year.

I’ll take the Rockets at -3.5.

Bet: Rockets -3.5 (-110)

College Football Best Bets

UNLV vs. Kansas (Guaranteed Rate Bowl)

The Jayhawks were an extremely run-heavy team in 2023, maybe having to pivot on their identity after it was clear that stating QB Jalon Daniels would miss a significant portion of the season with medical concerns. Either way, RB Devin Neal was a huge benefactor of their offensive game plan this year, carrying the rock nearly 200 times for over 1,200 yards and 15 TDs. He was also active in the passing game, reeling in 24 balls for over 200 yards and adding on another TD.

The Rebels’ defense he’ll be up against is certainly no stalwart, considered middling to below average for Mountain West standards. In fact, we just saw another workhorse RB in Ashton Jeanty from Boise State rack up 153 on 21 carries against this defense, though he was somehow only able to find the end zone once.

Though it’s not the juiciest number for a two-plus TD scorer bet, I think it’s accurately priced and that there’s a great chance that Neal finds the end zone twice against this defense.

Bet: Devin Neal To Score 2+ TDs (+150)
