UFC Fight Night Sandhagen vs. Font: Longshot Odds, Picks & Predictions

UFC Nashville: Sandhagen vs Font gets underway this Saturday at Bridgestone Arena. While this event is certainly not the most loaded of cards, there are still a couple of great betting angles to attack.

Below, I will walk through my two best longshot prop bets to make for this event.

Kyler Phillips vs Raoni Barcelos

Phillips is an immensely entertaining fighter to watch in the octagon, given his hyperactive style on the feet as well as his ability to mix things up on the mat. He is constantly looking for finishes, whether on the feet in the striking department or in the submission game.

With that said, it is on the feet where he is more likely to find success on Saturday. Phillips throws in bunches with solid power, evidenced by three knockouts over his past six professional victories.

That could be an issue for Barcelos, who is coming off his brutal knockout loss to Umar Nurmagomedov. Yes, Phillips is nowhere near the level of Khabib’s cousin, but he still carries some vicious power and is now facing a guy who is not only coming off his first career knockout loss, but a guy who has lost three of his past four fights.

Even before Nurmagomedov knocked him out, Barcelos was getting picked apart on the feet, and Phillips is capable of doing the same.

The Pick: Kyler Phillips via KO/TKO (+335 via Circa)

Billy Quarantillo vs Damon Jackson

Immediately following the Phillips/Barcelos fight, the featured prelim gets underway between featherweights Quarantillo and Jackson.

Quarantillo always has a punchers chance in these types of fights, but if Jackson survives the damage, then I do not see how Quarantillo wins on the scorecards. He is a hyper-aggressive striker who stands in the pocket and leaves it all out there, which is why each of his past three wins are via knockout.

However, Jackson has a pretty solid chin, even despite his past two losses coming via knockout – one of which was to Ilia Topuria. Since that loss to the title contender, Jackson has fired off a 4-1 record with two unanimous decision victories.

He is a decent wrestler who will likely try to bring this fight to the mat to avoid Quarantillo’s striking prowess. On the mat, he should be able to rack up the control and points, so as long as he avoids that damage, a decision victory is certainly live for Jackson.

The Pick: Damon Jackson via Decision (+350 via BetRivers)
