Vancouver Canucks vs. Nashville Predators: NHL Playoffs Same Game Parlay (Friday)

We’ve got a pair of Game 6 matchups on tap for Friday’s NHL Stanley Cup Playoff slate. In this article, we’re focusing on the Vancouver Canucks vs. Nashville Predators, following the Predators’ 2-1 road win in Game 5 to stave off elimination.
There have been plenty of emotional swings in this Western Conference playoff series. Vancouver’s improbable comeback late in Game 4 was a result of Brock Boeser’s hat trick, notching the equalizer in the waning seconds of the contest. The Canucks quickly scored in overtime to take a commanding 3-1 series lead heading back home for Game 5. However, Nashville poured in two third-period goals, erasing a one-goal deficit in a series that has been a defensive grind for both teams.

Friday's NHL SGP
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Leg 1: J.T. Miller To Record 1+ Points (-205)
J.T. Miller is the total points leader for the Canucks, recording six points heading into Game 6. Miller has mostly been involved setting up scoring possessions, tallying one goal and five assists for Vancouver.
He’s tied for most shots on goal (13) alongside Brock Boeser and both of them skate on the Canucks’ first-line attack and top powerplay unit. Juuse Saros has been inconsistent in this series, so expect Miller to bounce back after being held without a point following a 2-1 loss in Game 5.
Leg 2: Filip Forsberg To Record 1+ Points (-250)
Nashville’s top goal scorer and playmaker, FIlip Forsberg, has been heavily involved within the Predators’ offensive production in this series. Forsberg notched two points, including a goal and an assist, during both of Nashville’s third-period goals in Game 5.
Forsberg is the betting favorite to record at least one point in Game 6, and he earns over 20 minutes of time on ice. As long as he continues ripping shots on goal, Forsberg should wind up with a point for Nashville as they prepare for the return of Casey DeSmith in net for Vancouver on Friday night.
Leg 3: Under 7.5 Alternate Total Goals (-520)
This playoff series has been a defensive grind for both sides, only reaching seven total goals once back in Game 4. I doubt we see more than six total goals hit in Game 6, especially with the expected return of DeSmith in the crease for Vancouver. There have been five or less total goals scored in three games during this series, with Game 4 providing the most fireworks thanks to the Canucks’ late comeback.
Still, we’re going to add a bit of extra juice and play it safe by going under 7.5 total goals. Trends suggest that over 5.5 total goals is in play, but even if the final score winds up being 4-3 or 5-2, we’re in the clear with under 7.5.
Leg 4: Vancouver Canucks Moneyline (+108)
The home team has only won once in this series. Vancouver went 2-0 in Nashville during Game 3 and Game 4, and now, they have a chance to eliminate the Predators on the road. The Canucks have won five consecutive games as underdogs against Nashville, plus, they’ve recorded six straight wins after suffering a loss.
These trends line up perfectly to recommend Vancouver’s +108 moneyline odds following their disappointing 2-1 loss at home in Game 5. Whether it’s Boeser, J.T. Miller, or Quinn Hughes, at least one of these three integral pieces to the Canucks’ offense will wind up beating Saros one too many times, while their relentless defensive effort and the likely return of DeSmith in goal should seal the road win to close out the series.
Same Game Parlay: +500
This is one of the more lucrative Same Game Parlay wagers that we’ve cooked up compared to recent articles. At 5-1 odds, we’re relying on four legs to hit in what is shaping up to be a thrilling Game 6 matchup between Vancouver vs. Nashville. We’re back to the total points betting market, investing in J.T. Miller and Filip Forsberg to each record 1+ points.
Then, we’re banking on under 7.5 total goals to hit, since we’ve yet to see more than seven total goals scored in Games 1-5. Vancouver will need to find a way to close out this series with an outright win. The Canucks’ +108 moneyline odds is our final leg of this four-leg SGP at +500 odds, so hopefully, we’ll start the weekend off with a nice 5-1 payout.
