Milwaukee Brewers @ Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates snapped a six-game losing streak with a 4-2 win in the series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers. However, it was far from the offensive breakout they were hoping for, as they went just 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position, and just two of their nine hits went for extra bases.

Pittsburgh scored just nine total runs in its six-game losing streak and scored over two runs just once in that stretch. Milwaukee won the season series 8-5 against Pittsburgh last year and held the Pirates to just four runs per game. They should be in for a tougher time offensively in this game when facing Brewers ace Freddy Peralta, who has induced the eighth-most whiffs (48) among starting pitchers over their last 300 pitches. Peralta also ranks 13th in the Majors in ERA (1.90), fourth in WHIP, seventh in OBA and sixth in K/BB ratio.

Pittsburgh entered Tuesday, cashing the team total Under in 76 of its last 134 games (+11.44 units/7% ROI), and we expect Peralta to limit the Pirates once again.

Pick: Pirates team total Under 4.5 (-130)

New Orleans Pelicans @ Oklahoma City Thunder

If Game 1 proved anything, it's that the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans will be a tight series after all.

The Thunder escaped the Pelicans, 94-92, in the series' first game at home. It was a game where the Pelicans will look back with regret for not winning. That said, the Thunder have been excellent defensively for almost all of April.

In their last five games, the Thunder have held teams to 103.6 points per 100 possessions or fewer. They've gained a massive amount of turnovers and have held their last five teams to a 44.8% effective field goal percentage in four of those five games.

But to be fair, the Thunder were also weak offensively in Game 1. Oklahoma City shot an effective field goal percentage of 49.4% and added only 21.3% of offensive rebounds against the Pelicans in Game 1. They were killed on the glass and also didn't get to the foul line much.

This game will come down to the wire. Because of that, I'll take the Pelicans at +7.5 (-105).

Bet: Pelicans +7.5 (-105)

Los Angeles Kings @ Edmonton Oilers

The NHL night wraps up out west as the Oilers look to take a 2-0 lead over the visiting Kings. Zach Hyman registered a hat trick in Game 1, paving the way to a 7-4 Edmonton win. Game 2 is set for 10:00 p.m. ET from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta.

I don't see much value in betting a side in this game, so I will look at the total. After seeing 11 goals in Game 1, I'll take a flier on the over to cash for a second-straight game. Edmonton's high-octane offense is why I like the over in this spot. They've been impressive all season, finishing third in overall offense (3.6 GPG) and fourth on the power play (26.34%). Even though Los Angeles' defense has been sharp this year, I don't know if they have what it takes to shut down the Oilers' dynamic offense.

On the flip side, Los Angeles has the offensive prowess to help contribute to the total. Over their last nine games, the Kings are averaging 3.4 goals per game. They'll be looking to score on an Edmonton team that's just 2-3-1 in their last six games, conceding 3.7 goals per game over the stretch. I see a path to each team scoring at least three goals in this game, which would send us over the total. Give me the over tonight in Alberta.

Bet: Over 6.0 (-110)
