Atlanta Hawks @ Charlotte Hornets

Atlanta comes into Charlotte without much depth at the five position. Both Clint Capela and Onyeka Okongwu have been ruled out, s0 it wouldn’t be surprising to see them roll out a small-ball lineup, especially given their opponent at hand. Jalen Johnson will likely be the one doing most of the rebounding without Capela or Okongwu available. His 8.5 rebounds per game are second-best on the team. Charlotte is 26th in rebounding percentage and 24th in opponent points in the paint. Johnson has scored 61% of his points in the paint, so take the discount on the double-double compared to his rebound prop juiced up to -140 for 10 boards.

Saddiq Bey has routinely found at least 15 points as of late. He is over this mark in eight of his last 10 games, averaging 17.6 points and 33.1 minutes per game across this span. Taking on the league’s worst defense, he should find another 15 in this one.

Following some trades and injuries, this Hornets team looks significantly different. LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier are both out of the picture, so filling in their sted in the assist department is Tre Mann. He was acquired just a week ago, and in his first two games with Charlotte, he has amassed nine and seven assists. The Hawks have allowed the sixth-most assists per game to opposing point guards, so Mann shouldn’t have much trouble attaining this number.

Florida Panthers @ Pittsburgh Penguins

The marquee matchup of the night features an Eastern Conference tilt between the Panthers and the Penguins. Florida enters this game in second in the Atlantic Division at 33-15-4 (70 points), while Pittsburgh is currently seventh in the Metropolitan Division at 23-19-7 (53 points). This contest is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

Similar to the Sharks-Jets game, I’m not expecting much scoring-wise in this one. I’m playing the under. Starting with Pittsburgh, their offense has been a serious issue this season. They’re just 20th in scoring (2.9 GPG), and their power play still hasn’t gotten off the schneid, cashing only 13.94% of their chances (30th).

However, this has forced the Penguins to excel defensively to compete in games. They are the third-best defense in the NHL, conceding only 2.51 goals per game. Just above them in the rankings are the Panthers, who surrender only 2.33 goals per contest (second). Both squads also rank inside the top 10 on the penalty kill. I love this under at an even 6.0 goals, giving us a push to fall back on if it ends 4-2.

Bet: Under 6.0 (-115)

2024 Genesis Invitational

The 2021 Genesis Invitational champion has also finished in the top 10 here in four-consecutive appearances. Max Homa is stellar on approach and putts lights out on Poa greens. His comfortability at Riviera has developed into a mastery of the grounds. It was a mild and pleasant surprise to see such soft odds on what could be considered a top-10 lock.

Bet: Max Homa Outright (+1800)  & Top-10 (+190)
