Today's Best Bets

NBA Best Bets

Chicago Bulls @ Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz are extremely shorthanded right now. The Jazz won't have Lauri Markkanen, Walker Kessler, Taylor Hendricks or Otto Porter Jr. Meanwhile, Keyonte George is listed as a game-time decision with an illness that kept him out of most of the matchup against the Washington Wizards.

The Jazz have lost three of their last four games. The only win came against the Washington Wizards, who easily look like the worst team in the NBA.

On the other hand, the Bulls have added three wins in their last five games and just earned a massive comeback over the Sacramento Kings on the road. Chicago has legitimate momentum heading into this game against a Jazz team that is basically filled with misfits and two-way players.

The Jazz will rely heavily on Collin Sexton, John Collins and Jordan Clarkson. After those three, they are not left with much else, especially if George is out.

The Utah defense already ranks 25th in points per 100 possessions, allowing a 56.6% effective field goal percentage. That rate won't get any better tonight. Let's take the Bulls at -3.5 (-115).

Bet: Bulls -3.5 (-115)

Detroit Red Wings @ Colorado Avalanche

The Avalanche are back in action tonight after blanking the Blackhawks in a 5-0 home victory Monday night. They'll host the Red Wings, who've dropped two straight games and haven't played since Saturday. This cross-conference clash is set for 9:30 p.m. ET from Ball Arena in Denver.

These two sides just played on Feb. 22, and it was Detroit who escaped with a 2-1 overtime victory. Each team registered 30+ shots on goal and combined to go 1-7 on the power play. The Over seemed like the right play in that game, and it feels like the move in this contest. Both teams have been profitable to the Over this season, with Colorado going 36-27 to the Over while Detroit is 33-26.

With these two dynamic offenses, I won't overthink it; give me the Over. The Avs bring in the league's best offense, scoring 3.7 goals per game. The Wings are sixth (3.5 GPG). On the power play, the teams are seventh (24.20%) and 10th (22.73%), respectively. On the flip side, both defenses rank in the middle third of the league, so nothing too impressive. I think we're in for a barnburner tonight in Colorado.

Bet: Over 6.5 Total Goals (-115)

2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational

From tee to green, there has never been any doubt that Will Zalatoris is among the world's best. Before his back surgery last year, his only hindrance to complete dominance was a balky putter. He has rectified that in a big way in recent events, lending confidence that he will easily outplay his odds this week. "Willy Z" just needs to avoid the implosion holes and keep his head above water to stay in the mix.

Bet: Will Zalatoris To Finish Top-10 (+280)
