Tyreek Hill To Win Offensive Player of the Year (+105)

Before the 2023 season began, Tyreek Hill declared that he wanted to be the first receiver ever to reach the 2,000-yard mark – and he’s currently on pace to do so. He’s the favorite to win this award at nearly every book, but this market at DraftKings actually has him as the second favorite behind Christian McCaffrey. While McCaffrey has also had a whale of a season, Hill has actually outgained him in terms of yards from scrimmage by 15 yards, even though McCaffrey has multiple avenues of getting the ball and gets far more touches per game.

Speaking of touches, Hill leads the NFL in yards per touch at 14.8, in addition to his league-leading receiving yards (1,324), receiving touchdowns (10) and receiving yards per game (120.4). You can pitch a logical argument that several different players on the 49ers are more important than McCaffrey in terms of offensive success, but there is no such debate to be had with Hill and the Dolphins. If he can get to that 2,000-yard mark, I don’t see how he doesn’t win this award (and I do think he’ll get there). This is a great price to take advantage of at DraftKings, and the prices you see at other books reflect that sentiment.

Houston Rockets @ Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets are expecting their big three to return to action tonight.

That big three includes Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon. Still, Denver hasn’t been the most consistent team to start games this year. The Nuggets have added the first field goal in 50% of games this season and have needed an average of 1.7 field goal attempts before making their first bucket.

They’ll take on the Rockets, who only need 1.2 field goal attempts for the first bucket. Houston has added 50% of tip wins and has also taken the game’s first field goal attempt in 50% of games.

The Nuggets and Rockets are even regarding the tip and first field goal attempt. However, the Rockets are the more consistent team early on.

Alperen Sengun has taken the team’s first field goal attempt in 29% of games and has added the team’s first field goal in 43% of games. He’s already got six made first field goals and has scored three of them in his last 10 games with the Rockets.

At +600, I’ll roll with more consistent Rockets and back Sengun to score first again.

Bet: Alperen Sengun (+700)

#14 Texas A&M @ Virginia

In everyone’s favorite game to watch, we have the 361st-paced team and the 282nd-paced team facing off. It should be a betting galore.

This game will come down to the rebound battle. Diametrically opposing units give the Aggies a clear advantage on the glass, with the top-ranked offensive rebound percentage going up against Virginia’s 329th defensive rebound percentage. Virginia forces a lot of misses, but with Texas A&M’s 10th-ranked second-chance conversion percentage, the Aggies will clean up on the glass.

The Aggies aren’t exactly known for their defense, but unless Virginia is slinging it from deep tonight, I can’t say I’m worried for Virginia to go gangbusters with their 90th-ranked offense. In terms of pure vibes, this Virginia team is off. Scoring 18 points in the first half against Wisconsin is concerning, and only 56 total against a sub-100-ranked West Virginia team is even worse. I think scoring 60 points gets it done here for the Aggies, who should be favored tonight.

Play: Texas A&M +1.5 (-110)
