NFL Best Bets

San Francisco 49ers @ Washington Commanders
Going into Week 16, the San Francisco 49ers were the Super Bowl favorites. After getting embarrassed by the Baltimore Ravens in primetime, they are still the Super Bowl betting favorites. The Ravens have closed the gap between them as the team with the second-best Super Bowl odds, now sitting at +400 behind San Francisco at +240.
The 49ers roster is way too good to be knocked off the top spot for Super Bowl odds. A matchup against the Commanders in Week 17 should be a great way to move on from the ugly loss against Baltimore. This defense is loaded with stars who must show up throughout the playoffs if they want to win it all. I expect the locker room to be very aware of this and look to remind everyone how good they are this week.
I like the Under 48.5 in this game because I expect Fred Warner, Nick Bosa and the rest of the 49ers' defense to be looking to put the league on notice with a strong bounceback against Washington.
Bet: Under 48.5 (-105)

NBA Best Bets

Toronto Raptors @ Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA. They've given up 123.5 points per 100 possessions and have allowed a league-high 57.7% effective field goal percentage defensively. In addition, Washington has given up 32% of offensive rebounds and will likely get beat on the glass plenty of times against the Raptors.
Toronto isn't the most efficient offense, but the Wizards can make any NBA team look elite offensively. Still, the Raptors have added 29.5% of offensive rebounds and will get many second chances if nothing else.
On the other hand, the Raptors have been good at limiting fouls. They're also holding teams to 27.2% of offensive rebounds, which is great, knowing the Wizards have added only 20.6% of offensive rebounds in this game.
That said, I'm on the Raptors. They'll crush on the glass and likely get to the foul line more often. Toronto will make the effort plays to win and cover on the road.
Bet: Raptors -6.5 (-110)

Louisville vs. USC (Holiday Bowl)
- Leg 1: Louisville -7 (-108)
- Leg 2: Jack Plummer Over 241.5 Passing Yards (-115)
- Leg 3: Miller Moss Under 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+105)
Jack Plummer had his best season with 3,063 yards and 21 touchdowns. Still, how will he be impacted without his top receiver, Jamari Thrash, and top running back Jawhar Jordan?
This is not the bowl game the Trojans wanted to play in, and it shows with some of their top offensive stars opting out. I wouldn't count out Lincoln Riley to have a game plan ready for Miller Moss and receiving yards leader Tahj Washington, who finished with over 100 yards in three of his final five games. Louisville has the more complete team, with the defensive edge against a Trojans offense that has way more opt-outs. Even if they had a full squad, the USC defense was near the bottom in most categories, and that'll be enough for the Cardinals to get a win.
Having Plummer at quarterback is a huge benefit for the Cardinals, even without Thrash. Louisville was spectacular with being 24th in pass success, and they're going against USC, who was 101st in pass success defense.
Louisville has been great defensively all season, and they were able to contain some notable offenses, including Notre Dame and shutting out Duke. Going against USC's B-Team should keep them up to their standards. Moss was efficient when he played, but it was against some below-average opponents in blowouts.
