Bo Nix To Be Drafted by the New Orleans Saints (+900)

Derek Carr did enough in the second half of last season to keep the starting job in 2024. But after the 2024 season, his dead cap falls to $17 million versus his $45 million salary cap hit. If he underwhelms in 2024, he could be on the way out of New Orleans. Ergo, I would not rule out the Saints adding a QB in this year’s draft class under new OC Klint Kubiak. They won’t add any QBs in free agency with Carr entrenched as the starter, so I think these odds will only get shorter, given that the Vikings, Raiders, Patriots, Broncos and Falcons are in more dire straits at the QB position currently. Those teams will likely alter their QB rooms in free agency, pushing their odds of selecting a rookie signal caller down the board. Also, there is a chance that Nix falls in the draft into late Round 1/early Round 2, and the Saints pick again at No. 45 overall.

Toronto Maple Leafs @ Arizona Coyotes

The wheels have fallen off in Arizona as the Coyotes are currently riding a 10-game losing streak (0-9-1). They haven’t won a game since Jan. 22. As for Toronto, they’ve rattled off four straight wins and eight in their last 10 games. This cross-conference matchup is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET from the Mullet Arena in Tempe, Ariz.

With how these two sides are playing, I wouldn’t be surprised if Toronto clears this total by themselves. Their offense has been on fire over the last two weeks, averaging 4.8 goals per game over their last six contests. Meanwhile, the defense and goaltending have been atrocious in the desert. Over the current 10-game slide, the Yotes are surrendering 4.8 goals per game. Yikes.

Toronto hasn’t been flawless when it comes to defense, either. They’ve allowed at least two goals in seven of their last eight games. The netminding is still a question mark with the Leafs, and until they truly solidify that, I won’t hesitate to hammer their Overs. Let’s lock in the Over tonight at the Mullet Arena.

Bet: Over 6.5 Total Goals (-125)

#17 Kentucky @ LSU

At first look, Kentucky should dominate here. LSU is ranked 77th in KenPom, losing six of their last eight games. They are fast-paced but rank 87th both offensively and defensively in efficiency.

Kentucky has been one of the more inconsistent teams in all of College Basketball. Their offense is electric, with a ton of height, speed and depth. They take care of the ball and should win the rebound battle simply because of LSU’s struggles.

This game has a wide variety of outcomes. The Tigers allow plenty of looks from deep, so it will come down to if Kentucky is making their three-balls. Given the high number of possessions, lack of turnovers and general opportunity, I expect Kentucky to eventually kick it into high gear and take this one down easily.

Play: Kentucky -6.0 (-110)
