WNBA Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (6/28) – BettingPros

Welcome to another day of the WNBA season. I’ll write best bets for the day as the season progresses, so make sure to follow. I’ll be keeping track of my results all year, but really I am simply excited there is another sport to bet on. There is a lot to be excited about this year. I will be betting one unit on all bets, and be sure to shop around for your best odds. Here is my best bet for each game.

Los Angeles Sparks at Chicago Sky

Despite a 5-9 record, the Sky find themselves as one-point dogs at home to the Sparks, who only seem to be able to beat the Wings of late.

Nneka Ogwunmike was just named an All-Star starter, and rightfully so. She’s been averaging over 20 points a game to go with nearly 10 rebounds and 3.5 assists. She will be a handful for Chicago. 

The Sky have been struggling of late, losing each of their last six games. They haven’t exactly been close games either, losing by double-digits in their most recent matchups.

This game should be a close call. Both teams rank in the bottom half of the league in pace of play and can lean on their defense. I see the under playing out here.

Atlanta Dreams at Washington Mystics

I have never been a big spoiler, but this game screams under as well.

The top-ranked defense in the Washington Mystics is coming off a 21-point shutdown over the Chicago Sky. Washington has been 2-10 this year over/under due to their powerful defense and their slow pace of play.

While Atlanta pushes the ball, their offense is still middle of the pack and in a tough matchup on the road against Washington. 

Brittney Sykes is a pick-pocket machine with over two steals a game. Shakira Austin is a rebounding machine, and it makes sense why Washington is a five-point favorite.

The total is simply too high at 163. It is clear to me to take the under tonight.
