Saturday’s Best WNBA Picks

(All bets are one unit unless otherwise stated)

New York Liberty (-1.5) at Connecticut Sun (+100) | O/U 157.5 (-110/-110)

It might be tempting to take the +100 being offered on the Sun moneyline, but that “value” seems more like teasing bettors into action. There is always inherent value in taking plus money on an undefeated team at home, I get it. However, this New York Liberty team is just playing too well right now for +100 to be worth the risk. The true moneyline return here should be closer to the +130 range by my estimation so the “plus-value” here is fool’s gold.

If you want real value in this game tonight, look no further than Betnijah Laney-Hamilton. She offers plus-value on a prop she has hit at this number in four of her last five games. During that span, she is averaging 14.4 points and 3.8 assists which, at a combined 18.2 just scrapes its nose across the Over but a cash is a cash. If you take out her lone Under in that span, she is averaging 16 points and 4.25 rebounds totaling 20.25, a much more comfortable cash.

In what figures to be a tight game, Laney-Hamilton should have a hand in the Liberty putting up points tonight.

WNBA Pick: Betnijah Laney-Hamilton Over 17.5 Points + Assists (+104 at FanDuel)

Atlanta Dream (-1.5) at Chicago Sky (+100) | O/U 159 (-110/-110)

For this game, I am going to offer something different. A cross-book Angel Reese rebounding ladder.

With these two books offering either side of 9 rebounds and the higher side offering plus-value, we are obligated as bettors to fleece both books.

Angel Reese has always been a rebounding machine, but she has been operating at an even higher level of late, pulling down double-digit boards in four of her last five games. This kind of performance would cash both rungs of the ladder and she has pulled down 9+ (cashing the DK rung) in six of nine games this season.

Reese gets a lot of hate and some of it is for her rebounding numbers being aided by her own proximity misses but to us bettors, the more the merrier. She can miss twice or thrice for all we care, as long as she’s cleaning her own glass! We are not betting on Reese’s overall game or her place in history, just her ability to grab rebounds in large quantities. This last one has been tested and proven since before she even stepped foot in College Park, let alone Baton Rouge, so by this point is beyond debate.

Climb the ladder with me, won’t you?

WNBA Picks: Angel Reese Over 8.5 Rebounds (-140 at DraftKings) and Angel Reese Over 9.5 Rebounds (+104 at FanDuel)
