Seattle Storm vs. Indiana Fever

The Seattle Storm and Indiana Fever have combined for just 19 wins this season. Neither of these teams will make the playoffs. But this will be the rubber match of a three-game regular season series.

The Fever defeated the Storm on the road, 80-68, earlier this summer. Meanwhile, the Storm added an 85-62 win over the Fever in Indiana in their most recent game.

Seattle has won three of its last five games. The Storm were crushed by the Chicago Sky, 102-79, in their previous matchup. Seattle got consistent production out of Jewel Loyd, but no other player scored more than 13 points in that loss.

On the other hand, Indiana just defeated the Phoenix Mercury in its last game. Kelsey Mitchell added 28 points on 10-for-22 from the field and  5-for-10 from deep. Indiana’s starting lineup typically gives more offensive production. They’ve shot over 44 percent from the field, while the Storm have only shot 40.6 percent this season.

In that last matchup against the Storm, the Fever shot 37 percent from the field and added only four threes in the entire game. On the other hand, the Storm shot uncharacteristically from the field, hitting over 53 percent of shots.

The Fever will take advantage of turnovers better and should add more points in the paint. I’ll back Indiana in this game.

Bet: Fever -2.5 (-110)

Minnesota Lynx vs. Dallas Wings

This will be the fourth and final regular-season meeting between the Lynx and Wings. The Wings won the first two matchups, including a 107-67 win on the road on July 12. However, the Lynx earned the most recent matchup with a 91-86 victory at home.

Minnesota has won three of its last five games, including that win over the Lynx two nights ago. Napheesa Collier and Kayla McBridge combined for 50 points in the win. However, the three other starters in Minnesota’s lineup combined for just 16 points.

On the other hand, the Wings’ entire starting five added at least 10 points. The bench barely played and isn’t very deep. However, Dallas still won the rebounding battle by 13, scored six more points in the paint, and scored six more in the fastbreak.

Minnesota shot exceptionally well from the field, hitting nearly 49 percent of shots. However, if that doesn’t last, the Wings should be able to escape the Lynx and earn their third win of the series.

Dallas was on a three-game winning streak before its loss to the Lynx. They’ve scored nearly 87 points per game and have out-shot, out-rebounded, and out-assisted the Lynx throughout the season. The Wings have also earned more blocks and steals.

Take the Wings to figure it out tonight.

Bet: Wings -7.5 (-110)
