WNBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Thursday (10/10)

We have arrived at the WNBA Finals, as the Minnesota Lynx and the New York Liberty meet in Game 1 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, and the game can be viewed or streamed on ESPN.

These were the two best teams in the WNBA this season, and they already met once for the Commissioner’s Cup back in late June. The Lynx are looking for a record fifth WNBA championship, while the Liberty have been in the WNBA Finals before, including last season, but are still searching for the franchise’s first-ever title.

Below we feature two solid WNBA Same Game Parlays for tonight’s matchup, and perhaps you can mix and match with college football, the NHL, or an NFL Week 6 matchup, too. Let’s get started.

Minnesota Lynx at New York Liberty – Game 1

  • Leg 1: Lynx +6 (-108)
  • Leg 2: Over 159.5 Total Points (-108)
  • Leg 3: Sabrina Ionescu – Pts+Reb+Ast – Over 27.5 (-108)

The Lynx and the Liberty meet for all of the marbles. Minnesota won two of three games in the regular season, while also claiming the Commissioner’s Cup at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on June 25 by a 94-89 score. So, this is a budding rivalry. New York was the No. 1 overall seed, and Minnesota finished with the No. 2 overall seed, so it’s the best of the best on Thursday.

Minnesota was pushed to the limit by the Connecticut Sun in the Semifinals, with that series being pushed to a decisive Game 5. The Sun split the first two games against the Lynx at Target Center in two low-scoring games, while the teams split the two battles at Mohegan Sun Arena, with the Over cashing in each. In Game 5, Minnesota won 88-77 at home as a 3.5-point favorite, as the Over (152) cashed. The Lynx are 3-1 against the spread (ATS) in the past four playoff games, while the Over cashed in each of the previous three outings.

For New York, it dumped the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces, winning three of four outings, while going 2-1-1 ATS at most shops. The Over cashed in three of the four games against the Aces, too, while New York has cashed the Over in four of six postseason games.

In Game 1, the Lynx are catching six points, which is a lot. The Liberty went 1-3 SU/ATS in four meetings, including the Commissioner’s Cup, so laying six is quite a bit. And, we’ll play the Over, which has cashed in three in a row with the Lynx, while the Over has hit in three of the past four for the Lib.

Looking to the player props, we’ll back Sabrina Ionescu of the Liberty to tally a combined total of 28 or more points, rebounds, and assists. She went for 22 points, seven rebounds, and two assists in Game 4 at Las Vegas. She would have hit the Over on this prop in four of the past five playoff games, too.

If the Lynx, Over, and Sabrina hit each of the legs of this SGP, you can multiply up by five times.

Minnesota Lynx at New York Liberty – Game 1

  • Leg 1: Lynx +6 (-108)
  • Leg 2: Over 159.5 Total Points (-108)
  • Leg 3: Sabrina Ionescu – Pts+Reb+Ast – Over 27.5 (-108)
  • Leg 4: Bridget Carleton – 2+ Made Threes (-275)
  • Leg 5: Jonquel Jones – To Score 10+ Points (-310)

We’re going to play all of the legs from the three-way leg above, but we’ll take it two steps further. Are we getting a little greedy? We’ll see.

Minnesota’s Bridget Carleton has hit two or more 3-pointers in four of her seven playoff games. New York allowed 32.4% 3-pointers to the opposition, but Carleton was good for five 3-pointers with 19 points in 37 minutes in an 88-79 win at New York on Sept. 15 in a showdown in the regular season. She also dropped six triples against the Liberty in the Commissioner’s Cup Game on June 25, finishing with 23 points in that game, too, and she hit two or more 3-pointers in three of the four meetings with the Lib this season.

Jonquel Jones of the Liberty has scored 11 or more points in five straight games, and it seems like a slam-dunk play that she’ll get to double digits again here.

Parlay Odds: +798
